New to felting

I made this lil guy for a friend’s birthday! I am new to felting but have made smaller animals in the past. I didn’t use a kit for this panda. I looked at some reference pictures online and then started felting. I’m happy with how the birthday hat came out. Originally, I was planning on felting the string but it was coming out too thick and was hard to tie, so I just used twine and felted it onto the hat.

Which Star Sapphire Cabochon would you pick?

Hi, I am getting a custom ring made with a star sapphire cabochon. My jeweler was able to source a few options. When considering the quality, size, and price of these stones, which one would you pick?

Natural unheated Sapphires

First Image: 2.16 ct $1005
Second Image: 2.56 ct $1160
Third Image: 2.76 ct $1200
Fourth Image: 2.11 ct $633 (I found this one online)

Star Sapphire Cabochon NYC

Hello, I am looking for a star sapphire cabochon. Does anyone know where in NYC, I might be able to find one. I’ve been to a couple of places in the diamond district and no luck so far.

Thanks!

Siblings

Our girl has a much smaller head but weighs about the same as her brother. She weighs 13 pounds. How much does your female cat weight?

Need help deciding on a color for my parlor room!

Hello, I am in the process of repainting my parlor room since I never loved the color I original painted it over two years ago. The room after the parlor is the dining room, which is painted Benjamin Moore HC-143 and the living room is painted Farrow Ball Setting Plaster. Both of these colors are visible from the parlor room. I’ve included two off whites that I am debating between but also open to other recommendation and it doesn’t necessarily have to be an off white!

Hi, I noticed a tick on me after hiking in Burren national park in Ireland. The tick was probably on me for less than 6 hrs. My b&b host removed it and he said that the tick was flat and it typically needs to be attached for more than 24 hours to transmit Lyme disease. We are flying back to the US on Wednesday. Should I consider taking a dose of antibiotics or wait until I get home to discuss with my GP. My b&b host said to monitor for a rash or flu like symptoms but thinks i should be good. Thoughts?
