Should I follow teachers or books for drop year ?

I have started my drop year and I am kinda feeling like doing it all by my own using books and MIT lectures for weak chapters and then do practice relevant problems.

I was thinking of starting with HCV and irodov in physics, HCV for theory and problem solving approach, and Irodov once I am done with the chapter.

Is it a nice way of doing it cause I genuinely wanna pursue research field which makes me wanna go to depth. Although I will still be following a teacher for maths, but for chem too I am not vibing well with any teacher, so should I go with books by foreign teachers ??

If I am being stupid, just let me know without being mean or disrespectful

68% in PCM and 77% aggregate in 5 subjects, will it cause me any issue after college if I pursue engineering or Physics/maths major ?

The thing is I could be scoring 75+ in pcm but CBSE has messed us up, and I am kinda not sure about CBSE as my aggregate percent is on boderline ( 75% criteria ) so don't wanna take risk, and kinda wanna focus on drop year and don't want to derail for giving improvement exams and stuff.
Sooo what issue I might face because of this later and what are the options I can go for other than those related to my class 12th's percentage improvement ?

Would appreciate your suggestions, be respectful please.
Thank you
