I could've sworn I remember the Soldier Boy blast in season 3 basically being an atomic bomb that not only took powers away but instantly incinerated anything in it's vicinity. In season 5, it's been changed to be strictly a power removing blast. I don't remember them ever even addressing this and it seems the writers just hope that you forgot? Let me know if I'm missing something here because I haven't seen anybody else talking about this
