Macbook Air M4 for Motion work

Hi friends, more and more I'm feeling drawn to leaving the house on the regular, but my current laptop, while awesome and powerful, is heavy and relies exclusively on being plugged in at all times.

I've been a PC guy and apple hater my whole life, but I'm not too stubborn to admit that they are currently the best option on the laptop market currently.

Is a macbook air m4 with 24gb RAM feasible for light to average AE work, as well as light blender work (viewport only, no rendering, maybe some geo nodes/physics)?

Would I be sorted for the next 5 to 8 years or would the intensive cpu loads lead it to an early grave?

Keep in mind it wouldn't be my only workhorse, just the one I take out and work on in cafes, libraries etc, scene prepping, blockout, light animation, then do the heavy lifting at home with the big boys.

Hi everyone, so I launched my first ad campaign last week for my Surf brand, selling predominantly prints as well as clothing, and had a few questions for my specific situation.

My Instagram account has no social proofing: I have less than 20 followers, and while people say you don't need followers to make sales, I feel that, for my situation, I do. The surfing world is tightly knit and engages with Instagram A LOT.

Also, my content being based around visuals (art for the prints/clothing + 3D animations of the art as ad creatives), I feel like my Instagram presence and audience need to grow. I have 18 high-quality posts on my account so far.

I launched a Sales campaign last week, following the general advice that Engagement/Traffic is throwing money out the window, and here are my numbers:

Campaign Amount Spent: €53.65 | Frequency: 1.24 | Impressions: 10,082 | Views: 10,643 | Reach: 8,158 | Page Engagement: 2,520 | IG Profile: 113 | Link Clicks: 232 | CPC: €0.23 | ThruPlays: 410 | Cost/ThruPlay: €0.13 | CPM: €5.32 | CTR: 2.30%

Ad 1 Amount Spent: €11.49 | Frequency: 1.14 | Impressions: 2,406 | Views: 2,491 | Reach: 2,118 | Page Engagement: 708 | IG Profile: 46 | Link Clicks: 82 | CPC: €0.14 | ThruPlays: 46 | Cost/ThruPlay: €0.25 | CPM: €4.78 | CTR: 3.41%

Ad 2 Amount Spent: €11.21 | Frequency: 1.06 | Impressions: 2,123 | Views: 2,324 | Reach: 1,998 | Page Engagement: 505 | IG Profile: 21 | Link Clicks: 56 | CPC: €0.20 | ThruPlays: 140 | Cost/ThruPlay: €0.08 | CPM: €5.28 | CTR: 2.64%

Ad 3 Amount Spent: €17.58 | Frequency: 1.11 | Impressions: 2,603 | Views: 2,817 | Reach: 2,352 | Page Engagement: 745 | IG Profile: 27 | Link Clicks: 67 | CPC: €0.26 | ThruPlays: 156 | Cost/ThruPlay: €0.11 | CPM: €6.75 | CTR: 2.57%

Ad 4 Amount Spent: €13.37 | Frequency: 1.16 | Impressions: 2,950 | Views: 3,011 | Reach: 2,553 | Page Engagement: 562 | IG Profile: 19 | Link Clicks: 27 | CPC: €0.50 | ThruPlays: 68 | Cost/ThruPlay: €0.20 | CPM: €4.53 | CTR: 0.92%

I feel like these numbers are decent, but I'm yet to make any sales. My budget is limited, so I can't keep burning through cash and hope sales come in.

Also important to note that Meta isn't attributing any add to cart or initiate checkout events to the ads, even though I've received these events. Is this affecting how my pixel is being trained in a negative way?

Should I turn towards an engagement campaign and try to build a larger following first, then retarget that audience into a sales campaign?
