Pregnant and grieving

Pregnant and grieving

My husband and I had to put our sweet boy down a few weeks ago and my heart hurts so much still. It was a somewhat sudden decision (after a lot of trying everything we could). On top of missing him, adjusting to daily life without him here, I/we are grieving the fact that he will never be able to meet our baby due this winter. He was a true gentle soul, nanny dog, and loyal companion. He would have been the best “fur brother” to our family. It now feels like there’s a hole in our “pack” without him. Anyone else trying to navigate pregnancy hormones while handling such a loss? I just miss our boy and wish we had more time with him though I know we made the right choice because of his anxiety and suffering.

Sleepy old boi (TW:loss)

Our old boy who was loved beyond measure was put down this week after suffering from CCD/“doggy dementia”. We miss him so much. Here are some of his best snoozy pics in bed. This sub has brought a smile to my face this morning as I’m missing him.

Question about repurposing jewelry

Hi all!

New to this sub and not by any means a jewelry maker or hobbyist. I am in need of suggestions/advice for repurposing a piece of jewelry that has some sentimental value and I’d like to restore it.

I have a wooden, painted earring that had a metal closure that broke. I’d love to repurpose it to make a necklace. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to attach it to a chain to create a necklace?

I am attaching images you can see it has a tiny pinpoint hole where the earring hardware once was.

Thanks all!

What does breast feeding *feel* like

Hi all- FTM here who is hoping to breastfeed in some capacity once baby is here.

Sort of a weird question if you will but- I have read a lot about logistics and the mental elements of breast feeding but I’m curious about the physical sensations. What does it feel like when milk comes in, is the actual feeding process painful and/or uncomfortable? How did your breasts feel once you were done with feeding for good? Did you feel different (mentally or physically)?

I know it varies from body to body but I was just curious as to what to expect. I have seen that if it’s “painful” then it’s not being done correctly but is that true, is there still always an underlying discomfort?

Bra recs please!

Hi all! FTM mom here and am bra size 38F pre-pregnancy. My breasts have been so tender and sensitive it’s been hard to wear bras at all, let alone anything lined/underwire etc.

I need good recs for unlined, everyday comfy bras as well as some lined, lifting and smoothing bras for special occasions where I need to lift the girls without wincing at the end of the night.

Usually Layne Bryant is my go to. I already am feeling like I’m getting too big for my current cup size lol!
