Yaris mk2 Diesel MPG in Local Driving
Hi all, I have a Yaris mk2 2007 (U.K 🇬🇧) MMT (multimode semi-auto) 1.4D (Diesel) which has done around 101000 miles.
I drive it locally daily for around 10 minutes to get to work which has a mix of 20-30mph roads, few turns and traffic lights.
I’m always getting around 29mpg for my fuel economy.
I bought it at around 98000 miles so don’t know how it was before.
I’ve tried Redex Fuel System Cleaner but didn’t make a huge difference.
Looking at some posts I think it for the small engine it should be getting around 40mpg.
I have also relearned the gearbox as the car lost its creep and the gears would rev a lot when it downshifted. Relearning fixed the gearbox but not the mpg.
My yearly service is coming close so could engine oil be affecting mpg
Anything I could to help increase the mpg.
