I created my Roblox account when I was much younger. My username contains my real first name and the actual place I’m from. I’m now 14, and having that information publicly attached to my account genuinely makes me uncomfortable.
I contacted Roblox Support and explained that this is a privacy concern, not just me wanting a cooler username. They told me free username changes only apply when the username contains the player’s full first and last name, and then refused to discuss it any further.
I understand normal cosmetic username changes cost Robux, but I don’t think a minor should have to pay to remove real identifying information they entered as a child.
Am I being unreasonable here, or should Roblox treat a real first name plus a real location as personal information too?
