After how long is it too late?

After how long is it too late? Five months after the breakup and three months of silence....Is there still hope that he’ll get in touch? I’ve read online that it’s often after four months of no contact that the silence is broken. Obviously, he was the dumper.

What do you think? What are your experiences with this?

Dumpers, what goes through your mind?

Dumpers, what goes through your minds?

I’ve never broken up with anyone; I’ve always been the one who got dumped. I just can’t understand what could make someone stop loving another person (in a healthy, respectful relationship). How can you suddenly reach a point where you no longer want the other person? Do you have doubts? What makes you stick to your decision? After breaking up with them, do you think about the other person? If so, how? Under what circumstances might you consider getting back together?

I’d like to get a different perspective; maybe it’ll help me move on. (Only for people who’ve ended a healthy relationship).
