Just bought an SD Quattro, looking for advice

Hi there, long time photographer and lurker, new IR shooter.

I just bought an SD Quattro off eBay with the Sigma 28-70 f3.5 and an IR variable filter. Results are…less than ideal, extremely soft, even with manual focus, at least coming from my (admittedly extreme) FP-L in visible light.

I have a Sigma 24-70 F2.8 Art coming but are there any recommendations of significantly sharper glass for SA or filters I should be using instead? I would love to be doing (ideally SOOC) color as well. Thanks!

Trying to figure out the best adapted EF Standard OIS Zoom for high-res use.

I have made some purchase decisions that makes this sort of question so hard to figure out where to post, but hey the end goal seems like a good place to post.

Camera:

I have a Sigma FP L. I also have an MC-21 to adapt EF to it. So yeah - obscure camera at 60MP, no IBIS unlike most L mount or the A7R/SL3, with near-vintage glass.

Experience:

~20 years casual and hobbyist photography. Have owned older Canon, Sony A7R, Fuji X-T, GFX, Leica SL2, various film.

Use case & Problem to solve:

I shoot mostly handheld landscape, nature, and street. I intend to use other lenses mostly for street.

My issue currently is that, handheld, even with a monopod and a strap, shake is virtually unavoidable at ISO 100 in anything but direct sunlight when pixel peeping. At the same time, the sensor definitely challenges glass to the very max and makes bad glass extremely obvious.

The Ask:

Due to some other stuff I own, I want to buy an EF lens to adapt for around $650 or less that:

  1. Is maximum sharpness across the frame at extremely high res.
  2. Has a focal range minimum of at least 24mm and max of at least 45mm
  3. Has at least three stops of OIS. (Or at least two on a f/2.8)

My findings so far:

This has been surprisingly challenging to research and has led me to ending most search queries with "Canon 5Dsr" in an attempt to get at least close on results.

I am comparing the below:

  • Canon 24-70 F4L IS
  • Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM (Does not fit upper focal range reqs but better wide performance would be worth it)
  • Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art
  • Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD (G1, G2 is out of budget)
  • ???
  • Panasonic 24-105 F4 OIS and give up

Any recommendations that I'm missing or advice?

[S] [USA-PA] Leica SL2, Voigtlander Bessa R2 (with free Zorki!), DJI Mini 2, Canon T2i (Kiss X4)

I'm selling things so I can justify the (more weird) things I bought recently.

Timestamps: https://imgur.com/a/ZmhbNfp

Prices are with G&S and shipping for the bottom 3 but the increased impact of fees and my personal requirement of insurance has the Leica at net so you have choice on payment method and price.

Bundle 1: Leica SL2 - $2,000 Net

9.5/10 condition with very tiny chips on the bottom rear, bottom left edge, and a light nick on the viewfinder consistent with normal, always stored in a bag, use. Never dropped and no scratches and no damage beyond paint. Has Serial matching paperwork, box, and is registered in my name with Leica.

This includes the Leica SL2 body with its original box, instruction manuals, and inspection paperwork. The original strap and both the US and EU power cables are included. The kit comes with the oem battery and charger, a second third party battery, and a Really Right Stuff L-bracket.

If you would like to add in a Lens, I have a TTArtisan 21mm F1.5 in L mount with hood that works well for landscapes that I can add for $150.

Bundle 2: DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo - $250 shipped

9/10 condition with standard fly more contents other than the bag.
This package contains Mini 2 equipped with a gimbal protector and the standard remote controller. It also includes two batteries, spare propellers, and the C to C, C to Lightning, and C to Micro USB cables.

Bundle 3: Voigtlander Bessa R & (Free) Zorki 4 - $425 Shipped

8/10 condition with a small mark on the bottom. Shoots well and the back does not have any residue common with these. I have the window covered over because I'm paranoid and hate wasting rolls, I have not tested it without the tape so you may need to replace the seal around the window. The rest of the seals work perfectly. As a bonus, I'm including a Zorki 4 with bad shutter alignment. If you can get it all corrected, it has the same mount as a Bessa R. Otherwise it is a pretty paperweight. I'm including extra batteries and a roll of color film as well. I have the Zorki's Industar 22 with a neat 3D printed anti-collapse shim I can throw in for $50. The picture seen in the timestamps was taken with it on the Bessa.

Bundle 4: Canon Kiss X4 (JDM Rebel T2i) w/ EF 50mm F1.4- $100/$215 Shipped

4/10 condition on the body, in generally 'eh' condition with missing port covers, loose rubber, and such. But, on the other hand, it works perfectly with no issues. Surprisingly great camera. Includes US OEM battery and charger.
For $115 extra, I'll pair it with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM and the Canon flash. All together you have an incredible first camera setup with a bright great compact portrait lens. It may also be a great choice to hand to your kid without worry of breaking it. (You may want to tape over the ports if they are not used to prevent foreign objects/liquids getting in there)

I am not interested in splitting apart any parts currently but I'm sure we can cut a deal for multiple items bundled.

Payment via PP G&S, CONUS Shipping and PP fees are included in the prices listed for the Mini 2, Bessa, and Canon. Will ship next day or, if possible, same day if before 2pm EST.

Bought a Sigma FP-L and am looking for some stabilized glass to adapt onto it.

Ideally I would like to buy a 24-70 F4 L as in the title but I’m open to other stabilized offers. Budget caps out at $450 max.

I could be open to native L mount stabilized stuff if you have it as well.

Thanks!
