Hey everyone! So, I love KDE, but sometimes I do miss the clean style of modern Gnome. I also love their apps more than I do KDE's counterparts.
Does anyone know any KDE theme to make the KDE windows and styling look just like Gnome's ones? I found some but they seem not to be working anymore, unfortunately.

I'm using CachyOS and so far, loving it! However... The Flatpak version of OBS is closing itself all the time. Sometimes restarting the PC fixes it, sometimes rebooting does nothing. I'd rather use the flatpak version because it has the browser plugin I use for chat overlay.

Anyone got any idea of what is causing this and how to fix?

So, I made the jump to CachyOS as pretty much a linux newbie and I'm loving it! So far, made everything that I need work, for gaming, content creation and work.
However, there's ONE issue that persists: connection issues. I've always had bad luck with that on Linux on my laptop, but on CachyOS, it seems a step further.
Using CachyOS with KDE, I get lower download rates, sometimes VERY slow, and also intermitence with connections. Lag on online games and, most frustrating of all, packet loss in streaming and in voice chat. When I'm on discord, I need to go back do Windows, or else my voice cuts like crazy.
That's on two different connections on different houses. Windows works great, CachyOS... Not so.
What I've tried:
- updating multiple times
- Modifying /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf to include [connectivity] enabled=false at the end
- Modifying /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf to include wifi.powersave = 2 at the end
- change the "metered connection" setting from auto to no on Settings > Wi-fi and network
- Try to install Gnome to avoid using KDE's netowork manager
Notice that NetworkManager doesn't have... Any configurations or lines besides

after rolling back to a snapshot after that last adventure.
So, yeah... Haven't found the solution and it's the ONLY thing so far blocking me to stay on Linux and deleting windows. Any tips?

So, I am once again trying to find a home in Linux, because f*ck Microsoft, and because I generally like Linux better regarding philosophy, workflow and... Most other things.
However, I still have to find a proper distro to stop distrohopping, that fits my usercase.
I am a non-technical user: been using Linux here and there for years as an enthusiast, but never got to fix big problems using the terminal, for example. I also don't have the time nor the patience to tinker THAT much nowadays.
I'm a lawyer, and often I produce content, like youtube videos. Davinci Resolve has been very hit or miss, and, currently on my Kubuntu install (which is the first time I've loving to use a KDE distro, go figure), it's a miss. I heard it's pretty straightfoward to get it working on CachyOS (I just hope its AUR package isn't infected). I also game. A lot. And often, record my gaming to later edit and make videos.
I often priorize flatpaks because they make it harder to break the system, and, after a prolonged honeymoon with Bazzite, I've kinda fell in love with them. So I think my plan is to mostly use then on any system. Does that make sense with CachyOS (or any arch-based distro)? I am also a bit thrown off by multiple updates all the time, so I may end up holding them down a bit. Can it a good practice on a arch-based distro?
I want a stable system (in the general meaning of stable, as in as few bugs and breaks as possible, not as in older packages). I know it's harder to achieve that on a bleeding edge system, but I've seen many people saying they were using CachyOS for months with no issues at all, so is it safe to expect a somewhat less problematic experience than a Ubuntu base system?
I have a Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop, with a RTX 3050 6GB, a i5 12450h, 16gb of ram. So, yes, dual GPU hardware, with Nvidia.
I'm used to Ubuntu bases and a bit less to fedora bases. Arch is a somewhat new territory. What do you all think? Can I achieve, on CachyOS, a break-free experience for gaming and productiviy with little technical knowledge and not much management on my part?
