Shows with a sci fi touch, but not sci fi (bonus if lighthearted)

Another post here reminded me how fricking good Interior Chinatown was. It has a lot of unexpected meta or magical realism aspects, but it all served the characters and story, not to be in a genre, if that makes sense.

Severance and Westworld (seasons 1-2) give me that feeling too. But Interior Chinatown is lighter, so it’s easier to relax and have fun.

What else should I watch?

Location settings on always or only while using app?

My phone told me to check if this app needs my location all the time. But when I changed it to “while using the app” the game gave a giant warning that wouldn’t go away. What do I actually need on to play?

While I’m asking, what about “precise location” and “background app refresh”? Is this all allowing the company to track me and sell data?
