Looking for My Next Binge! Can be any but not to graphic?

Hey everyone,

I'm in that all-too-familiar spot: staring at streaming services with nothing sparking my interest. I need something new to watch, and I'm hoping to get something interesting

I'm pretty open to genres, but to give you a better idea of what I might like, here are some shows I've really enjoyed recently doctor who and i am open to watch from any genre (rommances, sci-fi, anime)

What are your absolute must-watch recommendations? Hidden gems, popular hits, something completely off the wall – I'm all ears! I'm looking for something that will really hook me in.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

What’s a comfort show you could rewatch forever?

Not necessarily the “best” show ever made, just one you always go back to when you want to relax, feel nostalgic, or turn your brain off for a while. Some shows just feel weirdly comforting no matter how many times you watch them....

Looking for a very specific recommendation, like The Shield

Hello! I'm looking for some show recommendations...for something very specific, in a way similar to The Shield, but probably not how you expect.

The type of show is not important, I'm not looking for a cop show.

I'm looking specifically for shows that heavily revolve around a singular moment from the pilot episode (or at least early in the series), where that moment stays not only relevant, but also part of the plot for the entire duration of the series.

The Shield is really the only show I can think of like this, where an individual moment from the pilot episode is referenced and at the center of a complicated web of story arcs. Throughout all 7 seasons, that singular moment is revisited in the "Previously On" segments in multiple episodes each season.

One moment leading to 7 seasons of intrigue, where the actual events of that moment remain relevant and under discussion in meaningful ways within the universe.

I can think of other shows that carry out a moment of intrigue for an entire season, but it rarely continues throughout the series (Bloodline, Cruel Summer, Big Little Lies etc).

I'm not exactly sure how to better describe what I'm looking for but hopefully you all have some good ideas!

Would you guys recommend Bones?

I want a new TV show to binge, and saw that Netflix just got Bones! Is it worth watching?

I often like crime shows, but sometimes they just really turn me off, I really liked Criminal Minds & Mindhunter but haven´t really found anything else that clicks.

I tried Law & Order and others. I just finished Angel and Buffy, with David Boreanaz, so that is kind of drawing me to Bones, but if it isn´t that good I don´t want to really waste my time🤷‍♀️

Show recommendations after *The Boys* finale

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group. I don't watch a ton of TV, but with the end of the Invincible season and The Boys series, I'm kind of lost until next time Invincible comes around. If anyone has recommendations, I'd be forever grateful.

I enjoy live-action and animation equally, no preference.

My favorite "turn off my brain shows" are like South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc. Those shows are okay.

I like story shows; in my opinion, The Boys and Invincible fall under that. I also enjoy anime. I've finished Sword Art Online, Seven Deadly Sins, Death Note, and I have completed some of the original Fullmetal Alchemist.

Lastly, I have Netflix and Amazon Prime. I'd really prefer not to spend any more money on subscriptions, but I'm always open to reason.

What’s the best show you’ve ever watched? Excluding…

I am not interested in shows about cops, lawyers, politics, crime, mafia, military, detectives…you get it. I don’t mind if that is a small aspect but a whole show about cops is gonna turn me off. I’m looking for shows of any genre, one you will recommend to everyone, one you wish you could forget just so you could watch it over again.

Best shows for listening (as if I were blind)?

When I work on my computer, I often have an audiobook or music but struggle with shows or movies because it demands my attention visually.

It could be anything. Dialogue-heavy shows, expository writing, nice sound effects, ASMR vibes.

Suggest a funny sitcom that has no "will they/won't they" romantic element.

I'm looking for a decent show that i could listen/watch while doing household chores, shower or any other physical laboured chores. I don't want any anxiety inducing stuff..just a few good laughs as i navigate through work. eg: first few seasons of two and half men.

Looking for shows with main characters in their 20s-30s who live with their parents and aren't complete losers

I'm in my late 20s and live with my parents even though I have a high-paying tech job, because I don't want to waste money on rent when I could be saving up to buy a house instead. I pay for groceries and utilites, treat my parents to fancy dinners and also have a successful dating life.

But I feel like every time I watch a show or movie where the main character is living at home, they're always portrayed as an unemployed loser who doesn't have their life together. The reality is that the majority of young adults are now choosing to live at home instead of paying ridiculous rent prices in today's economy. But instead of reflecting that reality, TV shows just keep reinforcing this outdated idea that we need to move out and throw away half our paycheck every month in order to be viewed as a productive member of society.

I'm tired of being stereotyped as a lazy, financially unstable bum with nothing better to do but mooch off his parents when the reality is that I make more money than my parents did when they were my age, and I have more savings than 99% of my friends who chose to move out because I'm not living paycheck to paycheck to pay off someone else's mortgage. Are there any shows that feature grown adults living with their parents who are actually portrayed positively?

Can anyone give me some small town or community series that involves solving murder or disappearance cases with an insane or unbelievably unexpected twist.

I’ve watched broadchurch and the outsider, they fit the small town vibe in what I’m looking for but I’m also looking for shows with better twist

Suggest a sitcom that you think I will like

Here are my tastes:

sitcoms I love/like: bojack horseman, arrested development, community, scrubs (I haven't watched revival yet), happy endings, 30 rock, seinfeld, parks and rec, better off ted, the good place, the office (the one I like the least of the positive ones. sorry), b99

sitcoms I don't care about: tbbt, two and a half men

sitcoms mid: friends (I find it really comforting, but I don't laugh anymore), himym (when it's good, it's good; when it's bad, it's terrible)

What do you suggest?

On mat leave. Need some shows to binge

I’m looking for some shows that are light hearted but not just sitcoms. Preferably shows that have quite a few seasons so I don’t have to think about what I want to watch when I wake up at 3 am. I just finished Parenthood and it was the perfect mix of drama and comedy without things getting too dark during the postpartum phase so I would love something else similar to that.
