Event pikmin

Hi all

Just started playing this game 3 weeks ago, hit level 20 last night. I think I have a decent squad now thats around 5500 power when hitting Brilliant Mushrooms.

Is there any benefit to collecting more Game Pak pikmin at this stage? Or are these guys going to be irrelevant after this May event ends? Do you generally keep event pikmin?

What are you guys doing when your storage is full and an event comes along. Buy more pikmin storage or release some into the wild?

Anyone else feeling unlucky this month?

This month has been very unlucky for me, I have only gotten 4/8 even though I’ve gone through 12 of the seeds. 🫠

I don’t always fill out the monthly Pikmin, but typically that’s because I’m missing one or two not 4. I bloomed two 10k seeds into the Rock Pikmin back-to-back. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want to think about the Legend of Zelda anymore.

Visited Japan recently from USA and have some pending expeditions.

This app brings me daily small doses of joy. Saw SO many flower planting paths when in Japan and collected awesome postcards!

Growing Pikmin with Japanese character names is so cool to see in my group too.

Pikmin latte art

I thought you guys might appreciate this cute Pikmin latte art we got at a lovely little cafe in Dublin. We stopped by because they’re known for their latte art and my son brought his yellow Pikmin plush to show what he wanted on his (decaf) latte. We were then informed they don’t actually take requests, but they were kind enough to try anyway for his and they absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Is the Challenge Anywhere event worth doing?

Is it just for the special Rosette Pikmin, clothing, and postcards?

I'm debating if I should do it but I can't find a lot of information about people's past experiences.

Those frustrating cards.

I don’t understand, the other side of that card thing only has one in it, and that was it. What about the rest of them? Or do I have to do something else to get the rest of those cards? Why no cards on the other side? 😭

Trick for looking for repeated Decor Pikmins at a glance

I finally got at the point where I'm at 300/300 pikmin 😞

I was doing some cleanup, releasing any pikmin with repeated decors to make space when I noticed a pattern:

Pikmin with a colored category icon on the back will give you a decor you already have!

Pikmin with greyed icons will give you a decor you still don't have. This includes pikmin with rare decor (e.g. clover pikmin)

Been playing for a couple months and now I notice that lmao

Leaving this here in case you didn't alredy know, you're welcome! ;^)

Where are all the white anniversary roses 😭

I’ve been working my a** off trying to get enough white anniversary rose petals and I swear the game only gives me like 4 nectar every few days 😤

Came back to the game after 4.5 years, and I'm loving it so much more thanks to the monthly event.

I played for a month when it was released, but it lost its appeal quickly. I'd go plant flowers and bloom big ones, but didn't really understand the point; it all felt a bit pointless, and the decor mechanic wasn't enough to keep me playing.

I read that the current event format has been in place since 2023. I don't know what it was like before that but don't remember any events when I played for a month at launch. But those missions and game pack pikmin (and knowing they're only for a limited time) have made me enjoy this so much, and have given me that "point" of the game that was missing for me the first time.

I came back to the game last week after looking for something that would motivate me to walk, and damn this has done that perfectly. I've loved learning all the mechanics in terms of increasing friendship and blooming the flowers I need for the missions. I discovered the discord, and it was so satisfying joining and 4 starring a giant event mushroom (I only contributed like 3k AP, but it was so fun to see and claim all the rewards).

I'e posted a couple of threads in the past week trying to understand the game better, and everyone was so helpful 😁 I learnt a ton from the comments there so thanks for being such a good community 😁

What happens if you feed pikmin nectar but don't harvest the petals and the pikmin resets to a leaf/bud?

Does it go back to counting as nectar, like you hadn't fed it to the pikmin?

Do the petals automatically get added to your petal jar?

Or are you just out of nectar with no new petals?

Shrine Pikmin in the U.S.

I know there was an event in Little Tokyo in L.A. where shrine pikmin were available in the U.S. I was wondering if you can still get shrine pikmin there, or if it was only during the time of the event.

Thank you if any locals can answer this question

Did they remove the extra petals (blue light) you can get when feeding the Pikmins?

You know that blue light that appears once in a while when you feed your Pikmins, and gives you extra petals? I haven't seen it this month and I feed my guys often. I used to get it often, I would say at least every other day. Sometimes it was appearing 2 times in the same feeding session.

Are you guys getting it and I am just very unlucky this month?
