Any news? I know in the past Shylily has said things on stream without it being an official announcement, so was curious if there is any news on the next set, since I don't watch her.
They were releasing every 6 months but, we officially passed that mark yesterday as set 2 released Auguest 15th. Not that it was exactly every 6 months but, haven't heard any news either way.
As far as playability I mean. As far as bugs that waste your time. As far as how annoying it is to just try and PLAY THE GAME.
Here is a list of the bugs I encountered today alone:
Mined for a while in my Mole. Super fun how when you climb up or down ladders, your character immediately grabs back onto them.
Sometimes your character starts climbing a ladder and just, lets go halfway up.
Went to work, bed logged. Came back and looked around for more to mine, found nothing. Like... actually nothing.
Went to Levsky thinking I'd start there looking for some more rocks.
THE ENTIRE ASTEROID BELT IS GONE. I confirmed it with chat. The Nyx Asteroid belt that Levsky is in... is entirely gone. The whole belt. Gone.
Okay I'll sell what I have at Levsky and go do something else.
My ship explodes. On nothing. I'm just casually flying in to Levsky, still 20km out. Ship just explodes, turns to fire and dust.
Game takes a full 10 minutes to respawn me in Levsky... which is already loaded in because that's where I just died.
I say know what, I want to do a Breaker Station. I didn't learn my lesson with what just happened. I buy the private contract and head out.
I spend 5 hours learning how to do this place. 5 hours combined between going there, fighting my way though, dying a few times, renting a medical ship to bring with me, figuring out all the puzzles, and eventually solo mining out the entire asteroid at 100% yield.
During this time:
The doors you have to repair to open, would not open.
Dying and returning to the station, shut the power back off, and it could not be turned back on.
Doors that required power, would not open.
After 5 hours on this station, I finished mining the very last node inside the asteroid. I was heading out. Landing gear down so flying super slow. Was being very careful, didn't touch anything, not so much as a tap.
My framerate dropped to 1 for a full 10 seconds, and my entire ship exploded, evaporated, nothing left, gone.
I just lost 5 hours of my life, all the ore I mined, AND the 850k I paid to do the place in the first place.
Game sends me to Levsky.
It takes so long to respawn, I get kicked from the server due to inactivity, during a black screen.
I go to load back into the game. My framerate is 1 permanently, I hear loud engines outside my hangar, I can barely move, but I eventually manage to press the quit game button.
The game... REALAUNCHES ITSELF IMMEDIATELY.
The game goes not responding.
The game tells me I need to verify my files because an error occurred in starting the game. That I purposely closed.
I press no, I don't want to verify files, because I know the problem is the game itself.
This makes the launcher angry, and it kills my browser, completely crashes it. It freezes for a few seconds, before just, closing. No 'not responding', no errors, just, hey, my browser is no longer open.
Regularly see people in chat talking about how hauling is completely broken too.
Point being, how is your 4.9 going. Is this game as unplayable for everyone else as it is for me?
Growing up everybody told me playing video games is a waste of time. I always ignored them, but right now, playing Star Citizen, it's not a game. It is LITERALLY a time waster. NOTHING in my life, wastes my time as good as Star Citizen.
Is it broken for anyone else? Yes, the moderation has gotten worse and worse over the months ever since last year.
But specifically within the last like 10 minutes, I suddenly can't do anything.
I'm talking like... upload an image of a girl fully clothed, and there's a horse behind her. I say, remove the horse from the image.
