Faint felv positive snap test for my 3 month old kitten

Hi everyone,

I adopted the sweetest baby three days ago and took her to the vet today to get her spay site checked. She was all good in that regard but they wanted to run a few tests on her to make sure she is well before her vaccinations coming up. They did a snap test and a faint positive showed up so that had bloodwork done and sent to the lab.

I am freaking out. I can’t help but lose my mind rn and the more I read about it, the more it works me up. I am just here looking for some comfort and advice. The baby shows no symptoms and I have another cat that has been around the same areas as her so now I am worried about him too. He is vaccinated and after getting the news we got him a booster as well as a few other vacs.

My stepfather in law in a vet and he basically expressed to me that she will not be okay and that i should just give her back to the adoption agency. Of course i will not be doing this but tbh the way he said that threw me off a cliff. My husband and I agreed that whatever happens, we will give her the best life filled with love.

Aside from that she is gaining gradual weight. She is a very hungry and thirsty girl with tons of energy. The vet said her gums also looked good after I expressed to her that she would nibble on her litter.

*english isnt my first language so please try to understand *

Any advice?

I am afraid of my husband

My husband (27M) and I (24F) have been married for almost a year now. He doesn’t get angry often but when he does he gets loud and extremely aggressive. A fight over laundry can lead to insults, name calling and shouting and tonight it led to him punching the wall and throwing things. I know my husband would never hurt me, but am I wrong for being afraid? Every time this happens ( has about 3 or so times) i find myself pulling away and treading carefully in my own house. My husband makes all the money, it was his preference for me to stay home and take care of things here since I am an immigrant and we are currently busy with the process. Today he said to me that because he makes all the money, I do not have the right to be upset about anything. We love each other but I am so sick of hearing him say “ I am done” when I disagree with him during quarrels. Why can I be okay with working through conflict but he loses all control and comes to me after apologizing. What should I do?
