Reposting because I def should have given out more details 😅 

I’ve been struggling with this for a couple days now. My character has a rather independent backstory that isn’t “too” affected by the main villain of the story. I can probably think of something later, but I’m seeing if others can suggest something that I can work on.

I don’t want to make this post a bit too long so I will simplify the plot:

The antagonist is an ancient demon set to revive after he will collect 4 shards of his power that has been split among 4 people by using a vessel (who just happens to be apart of the Main Cast). This demon committsd a genocide against humans and elves and gave his kind a very tainted reputation as most of his followers were obviously demons.

About the character, I’ll call them B:

A main side character. NOT the MC. The MCs are very much involved and affected by the antagonist!!

Half-demon…specifically the same kind of demon the antagonist was. Their backstory is too long to squeeze in here but I’ll just say that despite their efforts to be strong and stay alive, they wish to die or more specifically to “pass” because they got murdered before due to injustice. They just simply don’t want to die a brutal death again or have anyone go through what they went through hence them not attempting to kill themselves.

I can’t think of a goal for her to keep her engaged in the story and what will be her main drive to continuously be involved in the plot with the other characters. Please help!
