Odd moment on vacation is stuck in my head
I had a situation happen on vacation that I’m trying to sort out.
We went on spring break with another family - my wife’s best friend, her husband and their two young kids, who line up age-wise with our two kids. We all get along great and have gone on vacation together several times, and we rented a house in Florida for the week.
One afternoon my wife and the other husband took all the kids to the beach while the other wife (Kris) and I stayed behind to get dinner started. Not an unusual thing, she and I tend to be the ones who make the food.
When the group left, Kris was outside getting sun and came into the kitchen where I had started chopping vegetables. She was in a bikini and had a cover up in her hands and asked me “on or off?” gesturing to the the cover up. I was a little surprised by the question but just said “off.” I don’t know why I said that.
We worked on dinner for about an hour and Kris was in her bikini the entire time. When she heard the car pull into the driveway, she quickly put the cover up on before everyone came inside.
It all happened so fast at the time but thinking back on it, I’m trying to sort out why Kris asked about the cover up and why I said “off” so quickly. And why she put it back on before everyone came back in. Is this something I should mention to her? Or my wife?
