USA - new plastic heavy weapons: variants when?

Hi there!

New to Bolt Action, but I already have a small Battle of the Bulge-force ready. seeing the new plastic guns up for preorder makes me giddy; but is there any information on when they‘ll be released for the Winter variants?

thanks!

Impressions from my trip to Warhammer World

Title says it all - I visited Warhammer World over the last few days, and it was amazing.

The exhibition is a must-see, with many classic dioramas on exhibit that warmed my old heart (Emperor vs Horus has a special place in my heart), and all of the displays were just awesome. I do think the Old World dioramas might have one-shotted me though and inspired me to get back into rank-and-flank Hammer.

I even got a game in myself, using my smuggled-in Genestealer Cults who acquitted themselves bravely in their first 11th edition game (but ultimately lost).

To anyone taking the trip, I can recommend walking a bit further and also visiting Warlord Games, and if possible attending their tour each Friday - 2-3 hours of chatting with their CEO and design team and seeing their production process. It‘s a neat addition for all wargamers interested in “behind the scenes“-information even if their games are not your style.

GSC Display in Warhammer World

They really placed the GSC exhibit into the smallest corner, away from everything else, almost hidden by a Dark Eldas Diorama.

This is either proof we‘re the unwanted stepchild of GW (and they just haven‘t found a set of stairs to place us under), or a nod to our sneaky nature and way of infiltrating where nobody is watching…

Warhammer World is absolutely GREAT by the way. The Dioramas are awesome; when I saw the McVey Diorama of Horus and the Emperor I was literally awestruck. Pictures don‘t do it justice.

Combat Patrol fully painted

Finished my first Combat Patrol Set last year - indeed the very first multiple-unit box I ever completed. Very proud of it; converted the Magos to a Nexos.

Lore-wise my army is a penal work colony taken over by the Cult of the Four-Armed Emperor - hence the Orange (for prisoner colors) and Yellow (for construction/working equipment) color scheme.

I admit right now I am a bit burned out when it comes to painting GSC; I managed to knock out 1.000 points of Iron warriors in a shorter timespan than a single Neophyte unit.

Looking for a casual 1.000pts game at Warhammer world on Thursday, July 2nd 2026

Hi everyone!

I’ll be visiting Warhammer World for the first time next week - it‘s been on my bucket list for over twenty years, and am pretty hyped.

I figured I could have my first game of 11th at Warhammer World while I am there to complete the full experience! I am traveling from Austria so I can‘t bring a full army, but I bet I can sneak 1K Genestealers into my luggage….

I‘ll be in Nottingham on Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd respectively; and would love to get a casual game in ideally on Thursday to kick off the new edition, have some fun and meet a fellow hobbyist.

If anyone‘s interested please let me know!

Visiting Nottingham from Austria – looking for a casual 40K game at Warhammer World

Hi everyone!

I’m travelling from Austria to Nottingham for the first time. As a Warhammer fan ever since I was a wee little lad, visiting Warhammer World has been on my bucket list for over twenty years, and I’m finally making the trip!

To make the experience complete, I’d love to play a casual 1,000-point game of Warhammer 40,000 at Warhammer World—ideally on Thursday, 2 July, in the afternoon. It’ll actually be my first game of 11th edition, so I’m looking for a fun and relaxed game rather than anything competitive.

Anyone fancy a game? First beer (or soft drink!) is on me. 🍻

I’ll also be spending some time exploring Nottingham, so if you have any recommendations for must-see places, great pubs, cafés, or hidden gems, I’d love to hear them.

Looking forward to visiting your city!
