I recently received admission to the M.Sc. Computational Modeling and Simulation program at TU Dresden for the Winter Semester 2026. I'm really excited and currently preparing for the next steps as an international student from India.

I had a few questions for current students or recent graduates:

How has your overall experience with the CMS program been?

How challenging is the coursework, and what mathematical/programming background would you recommend brushing up on before arriving?

When should I start looking for accommodation in Dresden, and which options would you recommend?

Are there any important post-admission steps that new international students often overlook?

Any advice regarding enrollment, health insurance, blocked account, or visa timelines would also be greatly appreciated.
