Sugar tax in India

Hear me out. Government loves tax. We don’t. EU has something called sugar tax where products are taxed based on amount of sugar so companies are forced to use less sugar to keep costs low and accessible to the consumers. This literally incentivizes companies to make relatively healthier foods with higher quality items. Why is this not possible to implement in our country? Like there is no incentive for companies to make food items healthy for us because of shit organizations like FSSAI. How do we urge the government to consider implementing a sugar tax? If you disagree with this, feel free to add a comment about why it’s a stupid idea. I’m open to being proven wrong.
