How can I deal with having schzio affective and binge eating disorder at the same time

Hi (f21), having schizoaffective disorder bipolar type, binge eating disorder, and food addiction. It's so hard having both because they are the worst at the same time.

I got diagnosed with BED like 5 years ago; before that, I was struggling with disordered eating and all that. My ED is left untreated, and recently I got diagnosed with schizoaffective from this inpatient hospital. I got admitted there because I had psychosis. I have had 2 psychosis episodes for the past 2 years already.

Right now, I am really struggling with binge eating at home, and I know it's the meds that are causing that. I honestly don't know what to do. I talked to the psychiatrist yesterday because I have problems with the meds that are making me binge eat, and they want me to stay on these meds and to wait for 1 month to feel the full effect. I don't wanna be off of meds because I'm afraid of having psychosis again. So far, I've been to 9 mental hospitals: 4 last year and 2 this year. It has not been a fun ride. My binge eating disorder has already ruined most of my life, and now schizoaffective too.

I did an assessment yesterday to get into an outpatient ED program, so hopefully I'll get in. In the meantime, does anyone have any advice for a situation like mine?

Does anyone know a good, affordable, inpatient mental health hospital that has a stay of 30 days and accepts United Health Care insurance for those who have psychosis?

Hi, f (21), am looking for a mental hospital in Chicago that treats psychosis. I have been struggling a lot lately. I need treatment that has good, kind, staffs.

If anyone knows someone that has been to a good mental hospital in Chicago, specifically for psychosis. Or your experience then I would greatly appreciate it!

Any coping strategies for those who have no triggers that trigger binge eating?

Here's some context: I started binge eating when I was restricting, but that was years ago. Now, I binge eat unexpectedly, and there is NOTHING that triggers my episodes. I removed many binge foods from the kitchen, but I still crave more and end up eating whatever food is left, even if I'm not hungry for it. I’ve been feeling really depressed lately, and it’s because of my binge eating. I feel very unmotivated to go out or do anything. I’ve just been doomscrolling and lying in bed all day. Has anyone been to rehab for binge eating disorder? What was your experience like? Would you say your disorder improved after going through it?
