April 2025 to today!

💙❤️Update! 5/6 "The pups are all eating and stools are decent, they can go home anytime today! It was a pretty mild case fortunately."

**UPDATE 5/5 "One is eating and can go home, the other two need another night of treatment. We can leave all 3 there til tomorrow"

Original post: "It's not good news, but we're going to handle it." The woman who runs the rescue is a perfect example of what one should be. She answers me immediately, even if it's just a picture.

On Saturday, I noticed Nathan (the white pup) wasn't interested in breakfast, which was weird but one-off. He ate/drank fine the rest of the day. Then the diarrhea started and I thought it was from the frozen yogurt/PB treat I made them. Wasn't going to worry the rescue too soon.

Sunday it was worse, so I called and she answered immediately. Doesn't sound emergent. Everyone was eating/drinking. No vomiting, no fever🤷🏻‍♀️ Definitely a bit tired but not lethargic. We moved on.

Today just so happened to be their spay/neuter appt, so coincidentally, I hadn't fed them passed midnight. All that to say, I couldn't have gauged their interest in food this morning :/ I *did* however, forget and gave them water at 630am and they were all going for it. So besides the diarrhea, they were drinking and seemingly just tried from skipping breakfast and it being early. I let the rescue know and they said they'd order tests at the appt.

Parvo. No one was expecting this. It didn't seem like parvo at all. We think we caught it early. They are staying overnight for care and we'll see in the morning.

I LOVE these pups. They're my second set of fosters ❤️ Each one is special to me. I was typing up their descriptions for their adoption bios and picking their perfect glamor shots, waiting for the call to pick them up :/

I'm not asking for anything or trying to scare anyone. I know I've been giving them the best loving care and attention and sometimes these things just happen.

I guess just looking for good, healing vibes for Nathan, Oscar (brown) and Vienna(eye patch)🌭
