Trying to get back into reading

I want to get back into reading as a 19m who hasn’t read since high school. When I did read I only read manga and I want to read non picture books. I want to start with an easy read and work my way up to longer and tougher to read books. I’ll take any suggestions (preferably non fiction), and look into the book.

Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, I’ve decided to go with animal farm it piqued my interest the most. I’ll definitely keep posting in the sub as I read more. Thank you all!

Aerodactyl shiny?

I’ve been trying to get shiny Aerodactyl for about three weeks now and I’m definitely way over the shiny odds is it shiny locked or am I just very unlucky?
