Tips for RW? Taking my next SAT in December

Did pretty good in August but like I need a 1550+. I'm pissed math isn't 800 but I'm not gonna chase 10 points either. my mistakes are pretty much always Information/ideas and some very rarely from standard eng conventions but those mistakes are often very silly and because I was rushing while trying to save time for the reading questions. Vocab is usually okay for me but sometimes I mess up. And, like the title says I'm taking my next SAT in December and idk how to improve my english section. I've done more practice problems and stuff and I think I'm capable of reasoning logically but it's especially difficult with a timer running down.

1520- should I retake?

I got a 1520 (790M/730RW) and I'm aiming for T20s/ivies. My EC's aren't anything extraordinary but I don't think I'm generic either. I previously wanted to take it again so I can superscore with a higher RW score, but I'm worried my RW score won't increase, and I'm also worried that spending a lot of time studying for it will make me lose valuable time spent on other things. I'm mainly aiming for STEM so I know my math score has me set, but I want to know if my english score is decent enough by itself. (Got flagged for the "should I retake thread" but I checked and it was archived so I'm posting this anyway.)

I 16F want to start taking comissions, should I and if so how do I ask my parents?

I attached some of my art to give an idea of my current skill level. I’ve been thinking about trying to take commissions, but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to start during the school year.

Part of my hesitation is that I’d need to ask my parents to help me set up an account/payment method to actually receive money, and I feel like that might be a pretty big hassle for them. I’m also not sure if my art is at a good enough level to actually take commissions yet, and I’d feel pretty bad if I ended up getting no requests after going through all the trouble of setting everything up.

My biggest concern is balancing it with school. I don’t want to start taking commissions and then have my grades suffer because of them (currently straight A student).

So, should I go for it? And if so, how would you recommend I approach my parents about it?

Rate My Art!

I (16F) recently got more into digital art! I was going for a more cartoonish/caricature vibe. Lmk what you guys think :D

Also the people I drew are: Dr. Murphy (from The Good Doctor), Restlyss (A streamer) and Joe Bartolozzi (another streamer) in that order :)

How do I break past the 1500 plateau and reach 1550+?

So I think my scores have plateaued at around the range of 1460-1540 (within the last 4 months these were my lowest and highest scores on practice tests I did on college board's paper tests).

My goal right now is getting my math score up to a 790–800, since I feel like that's probably necessary if I want a realistic shot at a 1550+. The problem is that no matter how many practice questions I do or how carefully I review my mistakes, there are always a few problems that I either have no idea how to approach or spend way too long trying to figure out. I consistently end up missing 2–3 questions because of that.

For R&W, grammar and vocabulary usually aren't the issue (unless I make a careless mistake). Almost all of my mistakes come from the Information and Ideas questions. I also struggle with reading quickly while actually retaining what I'm reading, so if anyone has tips for improving reading speed without sacrificing comprehension, I'd really appreciate them.

I'm taking my first SAT in August, and I'd love to get a 1550+ on the first attempt so I can be done with all of this. If you've been in a similar situation or have any advice on breaking through this plateau I'd really appreciate it!

First SAT Coming Up in August, What Should I Do?

I'm taking the August SAT and could use some advice on how to improve from where I am now.

I've been preparing for a while and recently took my first Bluebook practice test, where I scored a 1500. I'm happy with that as a starting point, but I'm not really sure what the most effective next steps are if my goal is to push my score higher by August.

Most of my Reading & Writing mistakes come from second-guessing myself or making careless errors rather than not understanding the material. On the Math section, timing is a bigger issue. I finished the first module comfortably, but on the second module I ran into a few problems I didn't know how to approach and ended up feeling rushed. The questions that give me the most trouble are the harder "Advanced Math" problems, especially ones involving unknown constants or multiple variables/constants.

For people who improved from around the 1500 range into the mid/high 1500s, what helped the most? Did you focus on content gaps, timing strategies, error analysis, or something else? I'd appreciate any advice.
