For people planning stock for retail or ecommerce: when the sales or marketing team decides to run a big promotion, when do you hear about it?

Thinking of the last one, was there still time to change your order, or was the stock already on its way?

Like a bestseller going out of stock and you only noticed when the listing went inactive, ads still running on an ASIN with no inventory, a suppressed listing, a pricing mistake ... what was yours and how did you finally catch it?

Especially curious if you sell on more than just Amazon.
