Suggest me a book that has the same vibe as Raised in Captivity by Chuck Klosterman

I absolutely adored this book, which is unexpected because I usually don't reach out for collection of stories. I preferred to ignore the nonfiction tag, because I prefer reading fiction only.

Something about this book is really special.

I love the black humour, the dry humour, the writing style, the vignettes. The surreal-yet-grounded premise. The deadpan tone.

I really like reading about human behaviour.

I'm not a big fan though of romance and fantasy fiction and I'd prefer avoiding books that were published a while ago if possible (trying to focus on the contemporary stuff).

Do you have any idea what I could be reading next?

[IIL] Movies that teach us about real-life events... what should i watch next?

I liked watching:

- Chernobyl by Johan Renck
For the pace, the writing, the characters. I learnt about the smaller details of this tragic event through fiction.

- Lead Children by Maciej Pieprzyca
This one, I was more hesitant about. But in the end, I loved it for the political tension!

- The Red Sea Diving Resort by Gideon Raff
I keep coming back to this one. I never knew much about this part of history.

- The Good Lie by Philippe Falardeau
First time watching it and I really liked it. It was a more difficult watch than the others, but it felt really important to be more aware of this part of history, once again.

Searching for this video of a little girl and she's eating a bag of chips and following the ipad her mum is holding

I think it was taken in a supermarket? And the little girl had zero spacial awareness?

[Discussion] how to sell large paintings as a new artist?

A few months ago, a new hobby - painting.

Today, it is more than 10 large pieces of art, laying down on the floor of the studio because of the lack of budget to stick them to the back of a more solid surface.

Marker, acrylic paint, collage—the materials layered together. Hard to pin down as abstract exactly, something between. Around 110, each one.

There is no budget, but there is a very strong motivation to continue painting.

Paris, France.

Looking for how to make these known—gallery connections, venue possibilities, anywhere these pieces could be sold, seen and reach people.

Can anyone help?
