Hello there, I made an app for me and my gf to take care of our 2 dogs. My work is hybrid where some days I have to be away and sometimes home and we never had no proper system to take care of our pets. To fix it I made Sniffy, its available on the appstore now. It can log, send you reminders etc based of your profile
Here are some features:
- Quick logs in the pet home screen, via siri and widget which is fully customizable
- AI food scanner that will tell you if there are any bad ingredients in your pet food, simple take a picture and scan in the app
- Pet sharing share with your family or care giver
- Document storage thats accessible by the AI
- AI chat that uses proper context of your pet this include there breed, past incidents, habits, health documents etc to give you proper advice (still AI consult your vet for final decisions)
- A walk tracker

I have thought of also adding a smart collar that will work when camping/places with lower reception to track and stuff not sure if its even worth doing it
Hello everyone,
I’m based in Canada and I’m building a smart pet management system for dogs and cats.
The app is already live on the App Store and currently helps pet owners track things like food intake, water, pee, poo, routines, and other pet-care data in one place.
The next phase is a smart pet collar designed for people who live on large rural properties, farms, cabins, or areas where mobile connectivity is weak. I also think it could be useful for campers, hikers, and people who take their dogs into remote areas.
A lot of pet trackers depend on cellular connectivity, which can be unreliable or unavailable outside cities. My goal is to build something more useful for real-world rural use, where a pet may roam across a large property or get lost in areas with poor signal.
The hardware side is much more expensive than the app, especially when it comes to prototyping, testing range, battery life, waterproofing, and manufacturing. My team and I are exploring ways to fund the next stage and would love feedback from pet owners, farmers, campers, and anyone with hardware/startup experience.

Hi there, I am fresh to app development. Recenetly I started working on a pet care app. My goal was simple log my pets routines, have the app remind me and help me keep them tracked. It consist of basic tracking of
- Pet pee, poo, play, traiig, water etc
- Current inventory, food/medications etc
- Walk tracking with live GPS Tracking of your phone.
- Food tracking
- Food scanning flag for controversial ingredients
- Vet/groom appointment tracking
- Docs vault for medcal/reports
The app also have a agentic AI who can do read/write to all of these features. The agent can track and give you advices based of your breed/medical history etc. (your vet has to be consulted for major ai could make mistakes). The app is almost ready to launch waiting on appstore to approve my banking info etc.
Future:
- A skill tree for pet training which will be a guided map to improve and train your dog.
- I also plan on making a smart collar with sound, light, GPS, sim, wifi, BLE and heartbeat tracker (not finalized on this yet). This can expand my app to more features and more advanced tracking like virtual fence, history of where they been to, scratch, bark itching trckig etc.
I am thinkig to release the first version -> collab with pet influencers and intial revenue -> invest it on the hardware development
So far its just me and my friend who is on the team. What do you think of this? Do you think its worth seeking out investors on this?
