In the area/neighborhood I live in, Spectrum has a monopoly on the internet. I needed to get Internet for my business, and they hassled me to add on a mobile line even though I repeatedly said I didn't need one. The agent finally convinced me by saying that my monthly bill will actually be cheaper for the first year of I sign up for a mobile line and then I can just cancel it. It's been a year and I called to cancel. It's IMPOSSIBLE to cancel.
Impossible to get anyone on the phone yesterday to cancel Mobile service. I tried several different numbers and got bounced around by different agents. Yesterday I was on the phone for hours trying to get someone and each agent just sent me to the next agent that they claimed would help cancel my services. Only to be followed by another agent that said they can't help me and would transfer me or give me the "correct" number that would help.
There is literally no email I can find to cancel by email. No option to cancel Mobile service on the app or website. I went to a Spectrum store in person and they said they can't help me cancel because they do residential and no store can do business accounts. This used to be illegal but thanks to Trump administration for getting rid of an easy option to cancel. My only options seem to be to try to file a complaint with FCC, FTC, or state attorney general.
