Moc toe 875 vs iron ranger 8085 as winter boot in PNW

Looking for a pair of boots to complement my Chelsea boots and considering one of these red wing boots. I’ve read that the 875 is more comfortable but the 8085 has a better sole for walking outdoors. I’m looking for a pair that can be used for walking the dogs and running errands etc in the Vancouver area.

Need help deciding whether to pick up a pair white sneakers or suede loafers?

I’m looking to pick up either a pair of white sneakers or penny loafers. I would be wearing with khaki/navy shorts and chinos as well as jeans. I’ve read that both are versatile and can be dressed up or down. I’m concerned that the loafers might be more limited based on weather and less comfortable and the sneakers might not be good for dressing up after a few months of wear and tear. Appreciate any thoughts and opinions. Pictures added of the footwear I am considering

Mid-layer / fall jacket or pullover recommendations

I am looking for recommendations on a jacket and mid layer for travel that is light weight and highly packable. I’ve been looking at the Arc’teryx delta, icebreaker quantum, Patagonia R1. Either quarter zip or full zip. Any thoughts on these? I would use as a mid layer under a puffer in the winter. I’m leaning towards either the R1
Or Delta at the moment

Down jacket with or without hood?

I’m looking at a new down jacket for my travel set up and likely going to be the Arc’teryx cerium. Now trying to decide whether I should opt for the hooded version or the one without. Appreciate any thoughts- most of what I’ve read lean towards getting a hooded version instead of packing a separate beanie.
