Sangean 909X2 vs Grundig Satellit 750?

I may be talking apples and oranges here, but I have the Sangean ATS-909X2 and am considering buying the Grundig Satellit 750 as a 2nd SWL radio (my only interest here is SW. I have other radios for other bands). Truth be known...maybe because I just like the way it looks. But, wrt actual performance, given a decent long wire antenna, are these two radios similar...or does one radically outperform the other? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Long wire antenna location question...

I am getting ready to install an end fed HF long wire antenna. 72 feet in length. My question is about positioning of this antenna wrt existing solar panels and inverters for those panels. My 9:1 unun will be ~ 12 feet away from the inverters for my solar panels (contained within a Tesla Powerwall). This layout is by far the most convenient for my situation. Question: do I have anything to worry about in this regard wrt SW listening only?

Malahit for SWR check?

I am building an end feed long wire HF antenna. I know very little about either! But I am trying to figure out a way to measure antenna SWR w/o a meter for that purpose! I am ONLY interested to listening-no transmission. As such, how critical is wire length? I am told to shoot for either 71 or 72 feet. I can accommodate either. But again, all I see is "SWR" references (the lower the better?). But again, can I use my Malahit DSP2 (Rev 2.5) for this testing? I'm HOPIN exact length is NOT that critical for SWL only...but if not so please advise? Many thanks!

Retro 30 Hook?

This only pivots out to maybe 15 degrees as shown. It is also “spring loaded” to the closed position. What is the name and purpose of this tool?

Still looking for more...

Hard to believe I may have already cornered the world's inventory of these Robin Ruth 3 caps!? Maybe I should be posting on other venues??
