Day 12 of Taharah series

How to Perform Ghusl.

Let's make it simple and practical.

1: What is Ghusl? Ghusl (غُسل) is a ritual bath used to remove major ritual impurity (Hadath al-Akbar). It is different from an ordinary shower. You can obviously shower whenever you want for cleanliness, freshness, sweating, etc. But when Ghusl becomes required, it has certain requirements that need to be fulfilled. There are three Fard actions of Ghusl:

Washing/rinsing the mouth

Washing/rinsing the nose

Washing the entire body so that no required area remains dry If these three are fulfilled, the Ghusl is valid. The detailed method below is the Sunnah method, which is more complete.

2: The Sunnah Method of Ghusl ‌

-Make Niyyah

Make the intention in your heart that you are performing Ghusl for purification. You do not have to say the intention out loud. And don't stress over finding a perfect sentence for your Niyyah. Your intention in your heart is enough. ‌Say Bismillah

-Begin with Bismillah.

-Wash Your Hands

Wash both hands up to the wrists. This is part of the Sunnah method of beginning Ghusl. ‌

-Wash the Private Area

Before washing the rest of the body, clean the private area and remove any Najasah (impurity) that may be present.

A small note for my sisters:

Some girls grow up thinking that touching or washing their private area properly is somehow “dirty” or wrong. Please don't feel ashamed of basic hygiene. Cleaning yourself properly is completely normal and part of taking care of your body and Taharah. I could explain the actual washing process here, but going into that level of detail in a public Reddit post could become unnecessarily graphic. So instead, I'm sharing a trustworthy, teen friendly educational resource below where girls can learn the basic method of cleaning their private area properly. For girls who were never taught this properly, you can learn the basic hygiene method here: 🤍 https://youngwomenshealth.org/guides/vulvar-and-vaginal-care-and-cleaning/ You only need to clean the external area properly. There is no need to clean inside the vagina. ‌

-Perform Wudu

Now perform Wudu just as you would for Salah. If you're standing somewhere where water is collecting around your feet, you can leave the feet until the end of Ghusl. ‌

-Wash the Head Now

pour water over your head, making sure the water reaches the scalp and roots of the hair. In the Sunnah method, water is poured over the head three times. If your hair is braided, you don't necessarily have to undo the braid if water can properly reach the roots. The important thing is that the required area is actually washed. ‌

-Wash the Right Side of the Body

Now pour water over the right side of your body. Make sure the water reaches all the areas that need to be washed. Pay attention to places that can easily be missed, such as:

Under the arms

Inside the navel

Behind the ears

Between the fingers and toes

Around skin folds

Around the ankles

The roots of the hair

Any other external area where water may not naturally reach The Sunnah method includes washing the body three times. Then do the same with the left side. Pour water over the left side and make sure it reaches everywhere that needs to be washed. Again, the Sunnah method is to wash the body three times. You don't need to scrub yourself aggressively. The goal is simply to make sure water reaches the required areas properly. ‌Make Sure the Whole Body Is Washed Finally, make sure no required external area has been left dry. So don't become so focused on “right side, left side” that you forget somewhere else. The order itself is not what makes the Ghusl valid, the important thing is that the whole body is actually washed.

One Last Reminder Ghusl is supposed to bring us back into a state of Taharah, not leave us terrified that maybe we missed one tiny spot. Learn the method carefully once, practise it normally, and then trust that you've done it. May Allah make our Taharah easy, grant us beneficial knowledge, protect us from unnecessary waswasa, and accept our worship. Ameen. 🤍 Allah knows best. 🌷

Day 11 of Taharah series

What Can I Do During My Period? let's talk about something many girls wonder. Because sometimes we hear so many “you can't do this, you can't do that” that it starts feeling like we are completely disconnected from Allah during those days. We're not. 🤍 Hayd is a natural state Allah created for women. During it, Allah has given us certain things to pause from, but there are still MANY ways to worship Him. Important: The rulings below are according to Hanafi fiqh, which is the fiqh followed in this series.

1: Salah during Hayd

During Hayd, a woman does not pray Salah. And the beautiful part is: You do not have to make Qaza of the Salah you missed because of Hayd. So if your period lasts 6 days, you don't have to calculate all those missed prayers and pray them later. And when you become pure, you return to Salah normally. You also

2: What about fasting?

This one is different from Salah. If your period comes during Ramadan, you do not fast during Hayd. But unlike Salah, the missed Ramadan fasts are made up later. If a woman becomes pure from Haiz during the day while fasting, then now she should abstain from eating and drinking for the rest of the day out of respect for the fast, and the Qaza of this fast is also necessary. For example: You miss 6 Ramadan fasts because of Hayd then after Ramadan, you make up those 6 fasts.

3: Can I make Dua and Dhikr?

YES! Absolutely. 🤍 You can still:

  • Make Dua
  • Say Istighfar
  • Send Salawat/Durood
  • Read morning and evening azkar
  • Say SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar
  • Say the Kalimah
  • Make personal Dua in your own language
  • Learn about Islam
  • Listen to Islamic reminders In fact, Hanafi sources recommend that a woman in Hayd continue remembering Allah rather than feeling disconnected from worship.

4: What about the Quran?

This is one of the areas where you should know the Hanafi ruling clearly. During Hayd a woman should not recite Quran with the intention of Quran recitation, and she should not directly touch the physical Mushaf. However, she can still:

  • Listen to Quran
  • Look at Quranic text without reciting it aloud
  • Read its translation
  • Read Islamic books
  • Make Dua and Dhikr There are also situations where Quranic words that are themselves Dua or Dhikr may be said with the intention of Dua/Dhikr rather than Quran recitation. This is a detailed fiqh matter, so don't make yourself anxious over it. And yes, listening to Quran is completely different from reciting it yourself, so you can absolutely keep listening during your period.

5: What about the Masjid?

A woman in Hayd should not enter the actual Masjid area. But remember that not every room in an Islamic centre is necessarily classified as a Masjid. For example, a separate classroom, lecture room, or hall may have a different ruling depending on how the place is designated. So don't assume that every Islamic centre building is automatically a Masjid.

6: What about Tawaf?

Tawaf around the Kabah is also not performed during Hayd. If someone is planning Umrah or Hajj and her period begins, she should ask a qualified scholar about her specific situation, because the details can depend on the type of Tawaf and circumstances.

7: Can I still make Wudu?

Yes.You aren't praying Salah during Hayd, but in Hanafi fiqh it is recommended for a woman in Hayd to make Wudu around the usual prayer time, sit in a clean place where she normally prays, and spend some time in Dhikr. Why? So that the habit of remembering Allah and sitting for worship doesn't completely disappear during those days. 🤍 You can sit on your prayer mat, make Tasbeeh, Dua, Istighfar, Durood, etc.

8:What if my period starts near the end of a Salah time?

If Hayd comes offering a Fard prayer, then that prayer will be forgiven, after becoming pure, the Qaza of this prayer will not be obligatory. If Hayd comes while offering a Nafl or Sunnat prayer, then after becoming pure, its Qaza will be obligatory. If someone gets Hayd in the last time of a prayer and she has not yet prayed that prayer, then the prayer of that time is forgiven. If a woman becomes pure from Hayd in less than ten days and there is still enough time left in the prayer that she can take a Ghusl, change her clothes and say Takbeer e Tehrima, then now that prayer has become Fard upon her. And if there is not that much time left, then the prayer is not Fard. If a woman becomes pure from Hayd after the completion of ten days and there is still so much time left in the prayer that she can only say Takbeer e Tehrima, she cannot do Ghusl, then now the prayer will become Fard, the Qaza of this prayer is obligatory. It is Wajib to make Qaza of this prayer after taking Ghusl. If a woman in Hayd and Nifas becomes pure and wants to eat or drink something before taking Ghusl, then she should first wash both hands up to the wrists, then eat and drink.

9: What if my period starts while I'm fasting?

If Hayd begins during a fast, that fast is no longer valid and the day will need to be made up later. And if a woman becomes pure from Hayd during the daytime of Ramadan, there are Hanafi rulings regarding abstaining from eating and drinking for the remainder of that day while still making Qaza of the fast later.

10: What about doing Sajdah without Salah?

You might wonder: “Okay, I can't pray during Hayd, but can I just make a Sajdah to Allah separately?” During Hayd, it is not permissible to perform Sajdah al Tilawah (prostration of recitation), Sajdah al-Shukr (prostration of gratitude), or a voluntary prostration simply as an act of worship. So don't think, “I'm not allowed to pray, but I'll just do one Sajdah instead.” Intentionally performing such a Sajdah while in Hayd is impermissible, so doing it knowingly would be sinful. And don't worry, if you hear an Ayah of Sajdah while you're menstruating, you do not have to perform that Sajdah during Hayd or make it up afterward according to the Hanafi school.

When you leave something because Allah has told you to leave it during Hayd, you're obeying Allah. Your period does not make you less worthy of Allah's mercy. It does not mean Allah doesn't want you near Him. And it definitely doesn't mean you have to spend those days feeling guilty. 🤍

And if you come across a ruling online that contradicts what you've learned here, don't panic. Different fiqh schools can have different rulings, and even within detailed issues there can be scholarly discussion. Since this series is following Hanafi fiqh, take your detailed personal questions to a trustworthy Hanafi scholar or qualified female scholar.

May Allah make our Deen easy for us, give us beneficial knowledge, and accept every act of worship we do, including the acts we perform by simply obeying His commands. 🤍

Allah knows best. Asslam o alaikum

Day 9 of Taharah Series

Understanding Hayd (Menstruation) I have been learning Shariah lately, and there has been so much new stuff for me to learn... things I didn't even know before. And I believe that when we learn something beneficial about our Deen, we should share it with others too. Because many of us simply were never taught these things properly. So after learning something useful, please share it with your fellow girls, sisters, daughters, and mothers too. 🤍 Sometimes our mothers weren't taught these things either, so they may not always know how to explain them to us. That's why learning and teaching each other matters. Note: This post explains the basic medical side of menstruation alongside Hanafi fiqh. Medical information is for general education and does not replace advice from a healthcare professional.

1: What Is Menstruation?

Medically Menstruation, commonly called a period, is the bleeding phase of the menstrual cycle, when the lining of the uterus is shed and leaves the body through vaginal bleeding. The menstrual cycle is commonly explained in four phases: Menstruation: The bleeding phase. Day 1 of the cycle is the first day of bleeding. Follicular phase: The body develops an ovarian follicle and prepares for ovulation. This phase actually begins on Day 1 as well, so it overlaps with menstruation. Ovulation: An ovary releases an egg. Luteal phase: The body prepares for a possible pregnancy. If pregnancy does not occur, hormone levels fall and menstruation begins again. You may often hear that “a woman's cycle is 28 days.” But 28 days is only an average. It is not a fixed rule for every girl. Cycles can naturally be shorter or longer.

2: What Is Hayd in Shariah?

This is where we need to make an important distinction. In Islamic law, the term we use is: Hayd (حَيْض) Medical menstruation and Sharayi Hayd are related, but they are not identical definitions. So we shouldn't simply assume: “Im bleeding, therefore it automatically counts as Hayd.” In Hanafi fiqh, there are specific rules concerning the duration of Hayd, the period of purity between two Hayds, and a woman's previous menstrual habit.

3: The Basic Hanafi Numbers You Should Know

For a beginner, remember these three numbers: Minimum Hayd: 3 complete days and nights (72 hours) Maximum Hayd: 10 complete days and nights (240 hours) Minimum purity between two Hayds: 15 complete days But please don't try to solve complicated bleeding patterns from a simple Reddit post. If your bleeding:

  • lasts less than 3 days,
  • goes beyond 10 days,
  • repeatedly stops and starts,
  • or doesn't fit your usual pattern, then ask a reliable Hanafi scholar or qualified female teacher. Previous menstrual habits can affect the ruling.

4: How Do You Calculate YOUR Menstrual Cycle?

Your medical menstrual cycle is counted from the first day of one period to the first day of the next period. For example: Period starts on 1 September, this is Day 1. If the next period begins on 29 September, cycle length is 28 days If it begins on 26 September, cycle length is 25 days If it begins on 3 October, cycle length is 32 days This is useful for understanding your body and keeping track of your periods. And you should also keep a record of your bleeding days and clean days, because menstrual habits can matter in complicated Hanafi cases.

5: Why Should You Keep Track of Your Period?

Girlies, please don't depend only on memory. 😭 It is genuinely helpful to keep a simple record of:

  • The day bleeding starts
  • The day bleeding ends
  • Your clean days
  • How many days your usual period lasts
  • Any unusual spotting or changes You can use a calendar, notebook, or period-tracking app. This becomes especially useful if you ever experience spotting, prolonged bleeding, or changes in your normal pattern. In Hanafi fiqh, keeping track of previous menstrual patterns can be important when complicated bleeding occurs.

6: What About Brown or Yellow Discharge?

This is something many girls get confused about. Brownish or yellowish discharge before purity has been established can have a different ruling from brown/yellow discharge that appears after purity has already been established. Umm Atiyyah (رضي الله عنها) said: “We did not consider brownish or yellowish discharge after purification to be anything.” Sunan Abi Dawud 307 - graded Sahih So the important part is: Timing matters. Brown or yellow discharge appearing after you have clearly established purity is not treated the same way as colored discharge occurring before purity is established. This is also why you shouldn't immediately assume: “I saw something brown, so my period definitely started.” “I saw something yellow, so my period definitely hasn't ended.” The surrounding circumstances and timing matter.

7: How Do You Know Your Period Has Actually Ended?

This is something a LOT of girls get confused about. There is a beautiful narration from Amma Aishah (رضي الله عنها). Women used to ask her about whether their menstruation had ended, and she would tell them: “Do not be hasty until you see the white discharge.” This is recorded in Muwatta Imam Malik, where the white discharge is explained as a sign of purity from menstruation. This is known as: Al Qassah al Bayda (القَصَّة البيضاء). The white discharge/sign of purity However, not every woman sees this obvious white discharge. For some women, the sign of purity is complete dryness. So don't think: “I didn't see a special white discharge, so I must still be on my period.” If you normally don't see it, complete dryness can be your sign of purity.

8: What Is the Clear, Egg-White Discharge?

You may sometimes notice a clear, transparent, slippery or stretchy discharge that looks a little like raw egg white. Medically, this is usually cervical mucus. The body produces cervical mucus throughout the cycle, and around ovulation it can become clearer, wetter, thinner, and more stretchy.

  1. When does it happen? There is no exact number of days after a period when this happens for every girl. For example, in a typical 28-day cycle:
  • Day 1 is first day of the period
  • Around Days 10–14 the cervical mucus may become clearer and stretchier
  • Around Day 14, ovulation may occur Ovulation can happen earlier or later depending on the person and the particular cycle. So don't make a rule like: “My period ended, so exactly 5 days later I MUST have ovulation discharge.” Bodies don't work that precisely.
  1. Does This Discharge Mean Ghusl Is Wajib? No, not automatically. Normal clear/white cervical mucus associated with the menstrual cycle or ovulation does not automatically make Ghusl obligatory. And remember what we discussed in the previous post: Different types of discharge can have different Wudu rulings. So don't automatically label every discharge as the same thing. If you are unsure about a particular discharge, especially if it is unusual, ask a reliable Hanafi scholar rather than repeatedly checking and worrying.

9: Do We Need to Clean the Inside of the Uterus?

Some girls may worry that menstrual blood has somehow remained inside and that they need to clean internally with their fingers or other objects. You do not need to do this. Menstruation is a natural bodily process. You do not need to insert anything to “clean out” the uterus in order to become pure. Allah has created the female body in such a way that it cleanses itself. The uterus naturally empties the menstrual blood through its own contractions. There is no need to clean it internally. This internal cleaning does not increase purity.. rather, it may cause infection and harm. In Taharah, what matters is what appears externally. When bleeding stops and purity is attained, Ghusl is sufficient. Excessive internal checking only leads to waswasa and harm.Trust the way Allah has created your body.

10: Period Helper For All My Girlies

Now let's talk about the health side for a moment. Some period symptoms are common. For example:

  • Mild to moderate cramps around the beginning of the period can be normal.
  • Flow can be heavier at the beginning and lighter later.
  • Some variation from month to month can happen. Period pain commonly happens because the womb contracts, and a warm bath or shower, a heat pad, gentle movement, and appropriate pain relief can help some people. But when should you get checked?
  1. Severe cramps Please speak to a healthcare professional if:
  • Pain is so severe that you cannot attend school/college or do your normal activities.
  • Your pain is getting worse or suddenly becomes much more severe than usual.
  • Pain continues beyond your period or comes with other concerning symptoms. Severe period pain that interferes with everyday life deserves medical attention.
  1. Very heavy bleeding Please get medical advice if you regularly:
  • Need to change a pad every 1–2 hours
  • Bleed through clothes or bedding
  • Have periods lasting more than about 7 days
  • Repeatedly pass large blood clots
  • Feel unusually tired, weak, dizzy, or short of breath Heavy menstrual bleeding can contribute to iron deficiency anaemia, so it shouldn't simply be ignored. And remember: The Hanafi maximum of 10 days for Hayd is a fiqh rule. It does not mean that bleeding for 8 or 9 days is automatically medically “normal,” or that bleeding beyond 10 days is automatically a medical emergency. Those are two different questions: Sharayi classification and medical health.
  1. Very light bleeding or prolonged spotting If you repeatedly have only spotting, unusually long periods of spotting, very irregular cycles, or a significant change from your usual pattern, it is worth discussing with a healthcare professional. There can be many possible reasons for menstrual changes, so don't diagnose yourself from a Reddit post.

11: What About Home Remedies?

You can absolutely have your own comfort routine. For cramps:

  • Ginger Tea: Warm water with grated ginger and a pinch of cumin, with a little honey. It helps reduce inflammation and cramps.
  • Carom Seeds (Ajwain): Lightly roasted ajwain with lukewarm water helps with bloating and cramping.
  • Rest and keep yourself warm. Avoid tight clothing on the first two days.
  • If cramps are so severe that you cannot stand or you feel nauseous, please consult a female doctor. For Heavy Bleeding: This needs rest and iron, because you are losing more blood.
  • Dates: 2-3 dates daily with milk
  • Black Chana: Iron to cover the loss
  • Avoid very spicy food and very heavy lifting on Day 1-2, it can increase flow. Just rest, hydrate with ORS / lemon in luke warm water.
  • Vitamin C: Orange, lemon, so iron absorbs faster Important: Home remedy will not stop heavy bleeding, it only supports your body. For Very Light Bleeding / Long Spotting: Here the body needs warmth and energy to have a proper flow.
  • Dar Cheeni + Adrak + ajwaen Tea: 1 cup daily improves circulation
  • Haldi Milk + Ghee: 1 cup turmeric milk at night, and a little desi ghee in food, hormones need healthy fat to work properly
  • No dieting / No stress: Less eating and less sleep make lighter and longer periods These are comfort measures, not treatments for an underlying medical problem.

One Important Reminder: Share beneficial knowledge with your fellow girls, sisters, daughters, and mothers. Maybe something you share today will save another girl from years of confusion, In Sha Allah. May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, make understanding our Deen easy for us, and guide us to practice it correctly. Ameen. 🌷 Allah knows best. Assalamu Alaikum.

Day 7 of Taharah series

Nawaqiz & Makruhat of Wudu

Before we move on to detailed Wudu masail ( problems), we need to know two things: ‌Nawaqiz al Wudu (نواقض الوضوء) means the things that break Wudu. ‌Makruhat (مكروهات) means the things that are disliked in the way Wudu is performed.

According to Hanafi fiqh, here are the main things to know.

1: Nawaqiz al Wudu

Anything that exits from the private passages Anything that comes out from the front or back private passage breaks Wudu, such as: -Urine -Stool -Wind Other bodily discharges from those passages This is one of the basic principles of Wudu: when something exits from these passages, the state of ritual purity is broken. A Very Important Topic: Bodily Discharges (🌷 Note: Some personal purification matters are mentioned below because they are part of learning Taharah. They are explained briefly and respectfully for educational purposes, without unnecessary detail.) Not every fluid that comes from the private parts has the same ruling. This applies to both males and females, although some types of normal discharge are more commonly discussed in relation to women.

‌What is Mani? Mani is the sexual fluid associated with climax/orgasm. If Mani is discharged as a result of sexual climax, Ghusl becomes obligatory. So Mani is different from ordinary discharge and from Madhy. For women, the classical Hanafi texts describe female Mani differently from male Mani, so don't assume it has to look exactly the same.

‌What is Madhy? Madhy is a thin sexual fluid that can come out with sexual arousal, without the characteristics of Mani. Madhy breaks Wudu, but it does not make Ghusl obligatory. This distinction is important for both males and females.

‌What is Wadi? Wadi is a thicker, cloudy/whitish fluid that is usually associated with urination and may sometimes appear around that time. Wadi breaks Wudu, but it does not make Ghusl obligatory.

‌What about normal discharge in girls/women? This is where girls often become unnecessarily worried. Girls can naturally experience clear or white vaginal discharge, and it can vary throughout the menstrual cycle. Around ovulation, discharge can become more noticeable, clear, or slippery. This should not automatically be assumed to be Madhy or Mani. According to the preferred Hanafi position attributed to Imam Abu Hanifah, ordinary clear/white vaginal moisture (rutubat al farj) is considered pure and does not invalidate Wudu. However, Hanafi scholars have discussed the source of different types of female discharge in detail, and some contemporary Hanafi fatwas adopt a precautionary ruling for discharge believed to originate beyond the vagina, such as from the cervix. Therefore, we should not give a blanket rule that every ovulation discharge either always breaks Wudu or never breaks Wudu. The exact type/source matters. Discharge mixed with blood or another abnormal substance: it can have a different ruling, so it should not simply be treated as normal discharge. And please don't keep checking yourself repeatedly because of ordinary discharge or doubts. If someone has frequent or confusing discharge, she should ask a reliable Hanafi scholar about her particular situation rather than becoming stuck in constant Wudu and clothing changes.

  1. Blood or other impure matter that flows If blood, pus, or another impure substance comes out from a wound, pimple, boil, etc. and flows beyond the point from which it came out, Wudu breaks. A small amount that appears but does not flow beyond its point of exit does not break Wudu. The important Hanafi principle here is flowing, not simply seeing a tiny spot of blood.

  2. Mouthful vomiting If a person vomits a mouthful, Wudu breaks. “mouthful” means an amount that a person would normally find difficult to keep in their mouth. Small amounts of vomiting do not have the same ruling.

  3. Sleep in a position where the body is not firmly settled Sleep can break Wudu when a person's body is not firmly seated or settled. for example, sleeping while lying down or reclining in a way that allows the body to become relaxed. However, if someone sleeps while sitting firmly with their rear properly settled, their Wudu does not necessarily break merely because they fell asleep. So not every kind of sleep automatically means your Wudu is gone. The position matters.

  4. Losing consciousness If someone becomes unconscious, their Wudu breaks. This includes losing consciousness because of illness or another cause.

  5. Losing one's sanity or becoming intoxicated A state in which a person loses their normal awareness and control, such as insanity or intoxication, breaks Wudu. The underlying reason is that the person's normal state of awareness is lost. Ordinary anger, even very intense anger, does not break Wudu by itself. If someone becomes so overwhelmed that they actually lose consciousness or their normal awareness, the ruling is based on that loss of awareness, not simply on being angry.

  6. Loud laughter during Salah If a sane, awake adult laughs loudly during a Salah that contains Ruku and Sujood, then both Salah and Wudu are invalidated. There are different rulings for ordinary laughter and smiling:

Smiling without an audible laugh: does not break Wudu.

Laughing audibly but not loudly enough for someone nearby to hear: Salah breaks, but Wudu does not.

Loud laughter that could normally be heard by someone nearby: both Salah and Wudu break.

2: Things That Do NOT Break Wudu ‌ Touching your private parts. ( Intention matters) ‌Touching someone of the opposite gender, does not break Wudu according to the Hanafi school. This is separate from the question of whether a particular type of physical contact is permissible or impermissible; the Wudu ruling is a separate issue. ‌If your Satr becomes uncovered, Wudu does not break. This is a matter of proper covering and modesty, not a Wudu nullifier.

3: Makruhat of Wudu Things We Should Avoid Makruh does not mean that Wudu automatically becomes invalid. It means an action is disliked and should be avoided.

Wasting water Using more water than necessary is against the spirit and Sunnah of Wudu. We should use enough water to wash properly without being wasteful. More water does not mean better Wudu.

Washing a limb more than three times without a valid reason The normal Sunnah is to wash the limbs that are washed three times. Washing more than three times when the water has already reached the whole area is Makruh and against the Sunnah. But if some part is genuinely still dry, washing it again to make sure the required area is washed is not considered this type of unnecessary repetition. This distinction is especially important for anyone who struggles with doubts during Wudu.

Repeating Wudu because of constant doubts Wudu should be done carefully, but waswasa should not turn Wudu into endless checking and repeating. If you have already washed something properly and then merely start wondering: "Maybe I missed this spot..." don't keep repeating everything because of the doubt. Hanafi scholars specifically advise a person affected by excessive doubts to stop feeding those doubts.

Unnecessary worldly conversation Wudu is an act of worship, so unnecessary worldly conversation should be avoided while performing it. Keep your attention on the purification you are doing rather than turning Wudu into a casual conversation time.

Learning the difference between Mani, Madhy, Wadi, and normal discharge saves us from both confusion and unnecessary worry. Taharah should be learned with knowledge, balance, and ease. Allah knows best.

That's it for today. Assalam o alaikum!

bye dear peeps

Dear Peeps,

I have had such an amazing time here on Reddit, and I have met so many wonderful people. However, the time has come for me to say goodbye. I honestly didn't want to leave, but life has thrown some tough challenges my way, leaving me with no choice but to step back.

Because of this, I am stepping down from moderating and leaving the app entirely. Please take good care of yourselves! I also request you to please pray to Allah to make things easier for me. It is often said that the prayers of strangers are answered quickly, so I would deeply appreciate it if you could pray that whatever difficulties I’m facing get resolved.

Take care, everyone.

GNG I’m literally smiling so hard my cheeks hurt 😭💞

Today my mama was getting ready to go to another City, and she was standing in front of the mirror wearing grape colored dress with her scarf resting on her shoulders while looking for her rings in her bag. And then I noticed my baba ahhhh he was just… staring at her. LIKE ACTUALLY STARING.

My mom is 46 and my dad is 51, but the way he was looking at her looked seemed like he was falling in love 😭 He genuinely forgot everything around him for a second. No blinking just silently admiring her like she was the prettiest person he ever seen.

And I was sitting there watching HIM watch HER… then suddenly I started imagining myself in a future like that and got all shy and blushy HELP 😭🤍

Then baba said "Jana zruri hai kia??" Mama said “Yes, sham tk AA jaun gi.”

BRO HIS WHOLE MOOD DROPPED 😭

Now she’s about to come home and this man is in the kitchen making her favorite chicken karahi for her like whaaq brooo???? Allahumma barik this is the kind of love that makes your heart melt fr 🥹💗

If he acts grossed out by your farts, body hairs and real skin, he is not the one ☺️

Unpopular opinion but....

If your guy acts “eww” when you fart around him, freaks out about body hair, or expects your skin to look like a korean filters 24/7… he is not meant for you. ☺️

You fart, you have body hair, your skin has texture, pores, sometimes acne. That’s normal.

If he can’t handle the basic human stuff now, he’s not gonna stick around for the real, messy, uncomfortable parts later

Find someone who laughs with you about it, not someone who makes you feel gross for being human.

Tata bye bye

I started teaching mostly because I was bored, and it’s been around 3 months now. I teach grades 9–10, and… I didn’t expect this.

the level of exposure(p@rn) these girls have at such a young age is shocking to me. A lot of them casually talk about things that feel way too mature for their age. Some of the girls openly discuss stuff they have seen online, and it’s not even subtle anymore.

Before anyone says “this is normal now” maybe it is. But that doesn’t make it okay.

What worries me is that they’re consuming all of this without any real guidance, and it’s clearly shaping how they think and behave. There’s a difference between being informed and being exposed to things you don’t fully understand. There’s no sense of boundaries, no understanding of what’s real vs exaggerated, and no one guiding them through it.

And the weird part is… they sometimes bring these conversations to me, like it’s normal. I know I can’t control what they watch, and I also know this isn’t just a “these kids are bad” issue. It feels bigger than that, like there’s a gap in how we educate kids about these topics in a healthy, realistic way. Idk how can i handle it without overreacting or completely ignoring it.

😭😭😭😡
