Ok i finally finished the book ,i didnt notice the time but ig imma sleep after prayers now
Ok my thoughts on this book:
Every human must read this book once in their lifetime i why because
to men it will somehow make them a bit kinder , and clear to how their behaviour affect the whole household , how for so many man be@ting their wifes is a way of “disciplining their wifes” and that they shouldnt do that because the book descibes how a women in that moment would feel and how to not use religion to mask their faults , ik a man thinking has certainly evolved from time to time and they may be more liberal but in alot of south asian countries esp pakistan and afghanistan , women still face these or atleast nearly the same treatment

For women id say it teaches you to stand up for yourself because in a manipulative household , physical w@unds are somehow less painfull then emotional torture but one shouldnt have to go through either , it teaches women to never rely fully on a man (tho maryam and laila never had a choice to begin with). It makes you feel more grateful about the life you are living, about your parents who love you so much , it teaches you how far a mother/parent can really go for their child ,and lastly to many the courage to leave their @busive marriage

I couldnt cry on the chapter when maryam was h@nged because i didnt get enough time to process it before starting the new chapter ,Maryam didnt deserve any of that , she left as a boss lady (idk if i should say hero because dont we use it for a guy?) i wish she wasnt h@nged for basically defending another human, atp it had to be survival instinct and i dont think Islam punishes a just murd@r ( please dont say murder js unjustifiable )

I go to sleep when I get hungry at midnight.

So i was trying to sleep. I am on the ground on mattress with czns, the youngest of us was sleeping without a blanket ( I also had to get mine from the depths of room where all the clothes are). So he just started talking in his sleep and started saying oye oye, and then he proceeded to move forward while sitting and then started pulling the bedsheet with all his force but he obviously couldn't. So I stopped him because im the only one awake rn, and then he just pulled my blanket before I could react, and now he is sleeping half on the floor where he snatched my blanket. And I can't find another one. Now I am trying to pull it from him but he just won't, and now it's half on my legs and half on his back.

Not too sure how to start but I just want to say that i was an asshole as a child and used to bully a boy in my class. I am not too sure why i did that (I def wasnt an angry or edgy kid) though I do remember it getting quite physical. Our school never tried helping him because i usually hit him over the stomach and ribs and his parents probably also never listened. I just remembered this when I was chatting with a guy here. Although I have stopped anything like that since 6th grade but i feel like i should just say this. Idk where he is or what even was his name. I just hope hes surrounded by better people.
