I personally wonder if the court would have been quite so sympathetic to Ponyboy. It's possible he may have gone to a foster home. Johnny might have been found guilty of manslaughter and ended up in a State Hospital because of his physical condition. It's possible, Dally may have walked away, scott free, but worse than before.. Darry may lost custody of Soda also. Two-Bit may have progressed from recreational drinker to full on drunk. Steve would become bitter and violent. The rupture of what remained of the group and the social/ family support it offered would have collapsed.
And Darry? He'd be trying to get his brothers home.
Tom seems to be in costume. I wonder where Tommy was? He was the cowboy, but I've never seen any era specific pics of him with horses on this production.
Ralph, Matt, Tommy on the set.
Is there anything you wonder about from the book? Weird little details or questions? Not important to the plot outcome, but just little thoughts? I've always had a couple.

Like what happened to Ponyboy's switchblade that he had in biology? It never reappears.

What was Ponyboy's first week back at school like after everything?

How did Pony know that Two-Bit and Steve have an exchange about Two-Bit's switch when he, himself was unconscious and sick.

How did Randy make it to Ponyboys bedroom door without getting knife or beat up in a geaser neighborhood? And did he escape with his hubcaps?

Just silly thoughts. I'd like to hear yours.
I know he's in it. It's one of the best moments of symbolism in the musical in my opinion.
Are there springs on Roxyann? How do the wildlife access water?
By my calculations, Ponyboy is 14 and is in 10th grade. Is that correct? We know he is in a higher grade than his age. And I believe Oklahoma high school only had 3 grades, not 4. So, he's 14 in 10th grade. 15 in 11th grade and 16 in 12th. He turns 17 the summer that he graduates.
Is that what everyone else believes?
I think I Hinton herself, who really Ponyboy is the mirror of was 16 in her Senior year.
I saw this on another platform and it is weird to me. This poster, claims that Dally dies on November 9th. Not only that, but said that this is the commonly accepted fact. It is? Where? I've never heard this.
I know it's not the case, because Pony has been 14 just more than a month and his canon birthday is July 22. And we know Soda's birthday is a month away, his canon birthday being October 8. So, we know we're in September.
So my question is, where is this coming from? I've never heard or read it. I know it's not a musical thing since the poster uses book canon. Anyone know where this idea comes from?
