Name in SIR draft roll? You can still get a notice to appear before Officials.

So, EC released the SIR draft roll on August 1. There are many people whose names appeared in the draft roll, but they still received notices to appear before the ERO.

What is more concerning is that the reasons mentioned in many of these notices are absurd and factually wrong.

I am attaching three such notices.

In one notice, they mentioned that the age gap between the elector and his father/mother is less than 15 years. But what is surprising is that his elder brother, who is older than him, did not receive any notice. If the issue is really with the age gap with the parent, then why was the elder brother not flagged?

In another notice, they mentioned that the age gap is more than 50 years. But the dates of birth in both the current electoral roll and the old roll are correct. Despite that, the person was still flagged and a notice was issued.

In our village, approximately 400+ people have received notices. The notice copies were given to them on August 12, directing them to appear before the ERO on August 14.

Giving people just two days’ notice makes it extremely difficult for many of them to reschedule their work, make arrangements, and travel to appear in person before the ERO.

Isn't it missuse of funds at Zilla Parishad Guntur?

By seeing the first photo, you might think it is a news article or an advertisement published at the request of the person featured at the bottom (ZPCEO) and paid for out of his own pocket.

But no. This advertisement was published using the public funds..

Can anyone guess the amount?

It cost 95100 for just one day, published in andhra jyothy on 24-09-2025.

And that's not all. They spent 106000 on new year celebrations.

Deputy CEO's monthly airtel bill is 1178. Based on the current airtel plans, 1178 looks like a postpaid family plan. So, are they using public funds for their family? (I might be wrong if Airtel has some other plan at this price.) But even then, 1178 per month is hard to justify when some companies offer three-month plans for around 999.

Not just that, their car lease bill is around 4 lakh for a six-month lease and repairs. For petrol and oil alone, they use around 800 litres, costing roughly 80000. There are more bills on leases, repairs of cars not less than 30000.

I am not calling this corruption. They may be doing all this within the legal framework. But these are unnecessary expenses and a clear misuse of public funds.

Vetti chakiri: Bonded Labour in AP. Exploitation of Yanadi Tribe.

The woman you see in this picture is Annkamma, a woman from the yanadi tribe in AP who lost her nine-year-old son, Venkatesh, to the cruelty of bonded labour.

Annkamma began working for N. Muthu, a duck farmer, after accepting an advance of 15000. What started as a debt soon turned into a system of bondage. The amount she owed was allegedly increased to 42000, and her 9 year old son venkatesu was taken away as collateral for the debt.

Venkatesu was forced to work as a duck reader for 9 months.. According to the owners, he died of jaundice, fearing legal consequences, they allegedly buried his body in kanchipuram without informing his mother, raising serious questions.

[Source](https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/andhra-pradesh/a-nine-year-old-bonded-labourer/article69638489.ece)

Most bonded labourers identified in AP belong to the Yanadi tribal community, one of the most marginalised communities in the state. With a literacy rate of around 35%, lack of awareness about their rights and fear of society and authorities keep them away from the mainstream.

In the last three years, NGOs have helped rescue around 412 bonded labourers in AP. Under the Bonded labour system (Abolition) act, rescued workers are entitled to 30000 immediate financial assistance along with other rehabilitation support.

But even after liberation, many continue to struggle. Due to the lack of basic documents like aadhaar cards, only 4 among the 412 rescued labourers have received the assistance they are legally entitled to.

A law can abolish bonded labour on paper, but the most vulnerable continue to wear its chains because they are unaware that those chains have been broken.

On one side, they remain trapped in exploitation, on the other, they remain invisible to the very system meant to protect them because they lack basic documents and recognition.

Dharma Parirakshana(lol) representatives attacked a hindu activist on live TV.

VHP personnel attacked hindu activist on live TV.

Irony is that attacker is wearing a shawl with "ధర్మ పరిరక్షణ" ( Protector of Dharma) text on it.

Questions that personal asked are on point. Using religion for their politics, and making హనుమంతుడి getup dance in BJP rally. And portraying Modi above God.

And yet BJP people had the audacity to say people are disrespecting god. It is real "Hindu kathre mai hai" (Hindus are in danger), but from BJP.

It is the 18th day of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. No response from government. Will the Gandhian way of protest work?

It It is the eighteenth day of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. We all know why he has chosen this path.

Yet the silence that answers him is heavier than stone. Watching those in power turn away from accountability. I had to believe THEY DON'T CARE about us.

Will the Gandhian way of protest ever make our deaf government hear? I pray that it will.

Otherwise, people may begin to search for another path when they feel every peaceful voice has gone unheard. I pray that day never comes.

It is the 17th day of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. He stands with an empty stomach but an unyielding spirit.

Around 23 lakh students were affected by NEET paper leak. Many young people have faced immense stress, and some students have tragically died by suicide during this period, leaving behind grieving families and unanswered questions. Who bears responsibility for those lives? Who answers for the paper leaks that turned hope into despair?

Many ask, What good is a resignation? will it change anything?

Yes. Accountability is not revenge, it is the beginning of responsibility. When those in power face consequences for failure, institutions learn that negligence has a price. Resignation cannot erase the past, but it can help protect future.

Today is the 17th day of Sonam wangchuk's hunger strike. He stands with an empty stomach but an unyielding spirit, demanding accountability and justice.

Let's not ignore Sonam. Let's not let him become another G.D. Agrawal. Let's not allow another voice of conscience to fade into silence. Let's stand with those demanding a fair and honest education system, and let's speak up for the future of our children. Let's demand for education system worthy of our children.

Ap village residents walk 2 kms daily for drinking water.

I don't understand why the government remains completely unaware of such horrible situations until someone makes a video or a news report about it.

Why do they continuously ignore these villages and the plight of the people?

"I want to bring change" to abusing power. A new chapter of systematic venegence in AP.

He used to always say, 'I started this party to question the government, I want to bring real change.'

But look at the new chapter he and his followers have actually brought to the state now, it is nothing but a systematic method of vengeance.

No roads Andhra school warden carries ill student on her back to hospital.

I have no words for the kindness of that warden. But situations like this just expose how completely clueless the government is about ground-level realities.

I just pray the road works executed not as an act of political charity, but with the utmost urgency.

Very strong El nino may be developing. India might see drought condition and deficit rainfall. Are we prepared for a strong El Nino?

Researchers and IMD have predicted that this El Nino could become a very strong event. Climate change is major contributing factor, with deforestation and local conditions acting as catalysts. This El Nino could be one of the strongest in decades and may have impacts unlike anything we have experienced in recent history.

If that happens, several regions including India, Indonesia, central africa, and australia may face drought conditions, while parts of south america could see excessive rainfall.

India has already seen a 32% rainfall deficit this monsoon season, and many parts of AP are also experiencing below normal rainfall. This should be a wake up call.

Please be cautious. If you are a farmer, think twice before going for water intensive crops without assessing water availability and local rainfall conditions.

Save every drop. Do not waste water unnecessarily. What we save today may be what helps us get through a difficult season tomorrow.

I am surprised that I don't see agricultural assistants actively warning farmers about the possible challenges ahead. I hope agricultural experts, departments, and local advisory networks step up and guide farmers with timely information and practical advice.

Restricting medium, while ignoring leak will only shift the leak to other platforms. Do you think this ban will stop the leak? Do you think think this ban is necessary?

We have all seen how exam paper leaks devastate the lives of aspirants. Recent NEET paper leak affected lakhs of students, caused immense stress and uncertainty, and reportedly pushed 6 young people to take their own lives.

Instead of taking accountability and addressing the systemic failures that enabled the leak, the government chose to shift blame onto the opposition.

Now they banned telegram till 22nd. But telegram is merely a medium, not the source of leak. Banning a platform does not solve the underlying problem. When tiktok was banned, users simply migrated to insta and other apps. The same would happen here.

Blanket ban would not only affect scammers and bad actors, it would also harm millions of ordinary users who rely on telegram for communication, education, business, and work.

And then we wonder why India has not produced many globally successful indigenous open-source platforms. If telegram had been created by an Indian developer, chances are that creator would already be facing legal harassment instead of receiving support for innovation.

Real question is: do we want to fix the system that enables leaks, or do we simply want a convenient scapegoat?

Piduguralla: Lime city of India. Lime stone Kilns.

You can see these lime kilns (సున్నం బట్టిలు) all around Piduguralla, especially on Piduguralla ganesunipadu route. In some stretches, there is a kiln almost every 100 meters.

Limestone extracted from nearby quarries is transported to these kilns by trucks and lorries. Stone is then heated at high temperatures to produce quicklime, which is used in many industries.

Even though there are hundreds of kilns and quarries operating in the region, regulations and enforcement are almost non-existent. Many quarry workers do not have basic safety equipment like helmets, protective goggles, gloves, or masks.

The problem does not end there. Along with quicklime, these kilns release huge amounts of carbon dioxide, heat and dust. Workers spend entire days breathing this dust, often without any respiratory protection. As a result many develop respiratory problems and lung diseases at a young age.

Despite working in such hazardous conditions, most workers earn only around 220-350 per day.

Until few years ago, most kilns did not even have conveyor belts. Workers had to carry limestone loads up steep steps(see pic 2) and manually feed the kilns, a physically exhausting and dangerous job. Today, most kilns have adopted conveyor belts, reducing some of the manual labor, but working conditions remain far from ideal.

There are also long standing allegations of illegal limestone mining in the region. Locals often claim politically connected individuals and ruling party leaders benefit from these operations while ordinary workers continue to risk their health for meager wages.

This industry has made piduguralla famous, but the people who keep it running are often the ones paying highest price with their health, their environment, and their livelihoods.

Pensions removed without following due process. High court restored the cancelled pensions and warned officials to adhere to due process in such matters.

I hate these “yes men” in public office. It is common to see politicians holding grudges against supporters of rival parties, that is unfortunately the nature of politics. But public officials are not supposed to behave like party workers. Their duty is to follow law and due process before taking decisions that affect people’s lives.

Instead, many choose to become obedient servants of those in power just to stay in good books of politician
