I was just curious if anyone from the lab ( or just the area) wants to set up a session of either DnD or Pathfinder 2e ?

In Santa Fe there is a place called WZKD and I explored that store while I was in town this week and realized we could do sessions there if I had a group to play with.

Looks like imma be im going to be un-employed for a little while I permanently up to your guys area(ish) (santa fe) and wanted to do somthing fun while I wait to hear back from some places! ( my BF has a job at the lab, thats why im out this way ! :) <3 )

If anyone wants to do somthing like that or just hang out , I'd be down !! And since some have asked before. Im M and 27.

Crazy to think ill be calling this place home soon! :)

Went to the Bradbury Science Museum , had my radiacode 103 with me.its in a bright yellow silicone protective cover. I think i left it on top of one of the glove boxes at the museum. I tried to call the museum but they wont answer the phones.

If anyone sees it or has it , ill be moved here permanently the week of july 13th and could come pick it up than.

Im moving to NM because my partner got a job at Los Alamos National Lab .

I saw this cool position I thought I would be a good fit for over at White sands.

With how long the RTX hiring process is , I doubt I would be hired in time to still be an internal employee. Im moving from the east coast out west.

I put my 2 weeks in yesterday because im moving in 3 weeks. I physically can't Stay at my job till I possibly eventually hear back.

My question lays here.

Can I still be considered for this job as an external applicant ? If not , how long do i have to wait to re-apply to RTX jobs ? If I dont have to leave the company I really dont want to.

Just curious if there is anyone here hiring machinist in the santa fe area? BF got a job at the lab , im not fairing so well getting into the lab and I need a job. Ive applied to Rocket Lab, Sandia , LANL , Castelion , Boeing... I think im missing some.

Im just curious what people think of UNM LA? I want to go to UNM and get my bachelor's and possibly masters in nuclear engineering ( imma need a math tutor) but need to finish up my associates degree. I also dont think ill have in state tuition by the time I start. I figured if I cant get a job I mind as well focus on school till something pans out. Always wanted my Nuke-E , never had the means to sit and focus enough on school to feel comfortable tackling that till now.

I was asked if PTSD was a disqualifer from a friend and I said id ask here. Told them as long as you are getting help and treatment ( their service dog) than I dont see why it would be. They function fine and are a good human being so I dont see anything else for them to worry about, but im not cleared nor have been through the process so some professionals advice and opinions for them would be great. Just trying to ease their nerves about this new job for them.

I applied for the operator I/II roll , just curious how long it takes them to get back? Also curious what sorts of tasks are done with that role/ site.

My BF got a job at LANL and im leaving my job as a Manufacturer Quality Engineer and Machinist at an RTX site to move out wesr. Im coming from Ft.Benning GA. I have 5 years of manufacturing Experience in the aerospace industry. 8+ years of machining experience. I also have ran my own machine shop out of my grage for the past 2 years. Sadly I cant move my company across the country so im closing my doors. Wasnt anything big but was fun and a nice side income.

Also , just curious if there is any rocketry related clubs or groups close to ABQ , Santa fe or Los Alamos ? High power rocketry is one of my hobbies and would like to check out what people on the west coast are doing!

Is it true that if you have used your vacation time before the middle of the year and than leave mid way through the year , you have to repay your time used ?

Sounds wild to me but idk , its RTX lmao , nothing surprises me at this point.

Just found out im moving in 4 weeks. BF just notified me his start date is in 4 weeks...

Any help or advice would be cool. Ive never moved such short notice. Still dont have a job lined up at the lab or in NM at all . Im in a slight panic tbh 🙃

Also no apartment lined up yet either...

Anyways, any tips on how to move and such efficiency would be cool ! :D

My BF just signed his offer letter, and submitted the background check.

What things are we to expect next ? We were never given a move date or instructions.

Im leaving my good paying job as an engineer to give him the opportunity to pursue this fantastic opportunity. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I've been trying to get into the lab for a long while.

Im nervous about the move and we are having one heck of a time finding a semi affordable place to rent. Currently we live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house and pay 1750, cant find anything close to that out that way.

Im also stressed because I can't find a job outside the 2 lab currently. Im a machinist by trade and schooling but not long ago got promoted to an engineer position at my current job. Love my current job.

I applied to a few (7) positions at the lab , im crossing my fingers.

Just a few random questions for both lab and non lab people.

Any good pool halls around ( AQB , Santa fe , LA )

Im a furry and was curious if there are any others around?

Also big on DnD, I know last time I was on LA , the library had some people playing DnD, I'd love to join a campaign if people were down for another player ! ^.^
