Looking into using an iPhone as the main capture device for an e-commerce studio setup, tethered to a Mac via Capture One. The goal is to be able to trigger the shutter and ideally switch between focal lengths from the Mac without touching the phone at all.

Has anyone actually run this in practice? Specifically curious whether lens switching is controllable from the Mac side or whether that still needs to happen on the phone itself.

Also open to hear how people are handling the automated side ( file naming, square crop exports, Photoroom integration ) if anyone has that pipeline running smoothly.
