Do I qualify for chubby fire?

My husband and I (41F/37M) have been serious savers throughout our careers. Over the past year I started closely tracking our investment accounts and spending more time on Reddit learning about FIRE.

Here is where we stand: approximately $1.4M saved, with the majority in Roth IRAs and Roth TSP. Of that, about $200K is in a taxable brokerage and $100K in cash.

On the income side, my husband receives 100% VA disability at $4,300/month tax free due to a service related condition (he is doing well now). I am about to retire and will receive approximately $6,000/month taxable and roughly $1,900/month tax free. We also have lifetime health insurance coverage, which meaningfully reduces our cost of living compared to most early retirees. We have one child who just turned three, so future education costs are on the horizon, though VA education benefits may offset some of that.

So the question is: do we qualify for ChubbyFIRE?

Krankenversicherung in Germany

Hello for those of you that are hosts in Germany what did you do for health insurance? We found our au pair through au pair world and I was thinking about just buying the one they recommend but I would love to hear recommendations.

Pretty much what the title says I remember seeing one success story a couple months ago but I’m curious if there’s anyone else in this thread who has had success and could share their experience and what route they went.
