white spots on my shrimp?
Hello, I noticed that some (but not all) of my shrimp are getting white spots on their bodies. Ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are 0, and I’m still waiting for my gH & kH test kit to arrive. I do water changes once a week and siphon out any uneaten food after a few hrs.
Could this be a fungal infection/parasite? Wondering if anyone else had anything similar happen.
Ignore the other shrimp they started munching on, I removed it right once they left it alone. Not sure how that one died either🥲
Reddish orange thing inside glass shrimp?
Sorry for the terrible photos, my phone camera sucks!
Noticed that one of my shrimp has an orange dot inside it. I searched it up and it says it could be a sexually mature female. This species’ breeding season is meant to be in November so I’m not sure if it makes a difference if it’s kept in captivity?
Would appreciate if anyone could give me some thoughts!
Anyone else here shoot wildlife / animals on film? Would love to see your photos
Bit random, but I’m curious how many people here are shooting wildlife on film. Birds, marine life, mammals, macro, zoos, field stuff - anything fauna-related on 35mm / medium format / whatever.
It’s something I’ve gotten really into recently, but honestly it feels like I barely ever see it compared to street photography, cars, portraits, landscapes, etc. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places.
There’s something about shooting animals on film that just feels right to me though, the patience, unpredictability, not knowing exactly what you got until later. It feels less like trying to make a perfect image and more like capturing an encounter.
I’m also slowly exploring an idea around “Fauna on Film” - wildlife photography mixed with conservation storytelling and connecting people more closely with biodiversity.
Would genuinely love to see what people here are shooting, hear film stock recommendations, setups, or just chat wildlife film photography
Drop photos if you’ve got them!
