A feeling of pressure in the lower back everytime I sit sends me to the bathroom
Hi everyone. I've suffered from irritable bowel syndrome for years, but in the last two years I've been experiencing a new problem that I don't know how to deal with. The thing is, I can't sit still for a whole hour doing anything that requires a big effort (in my case, studying). When I'm with friends, I can sit for longer, but even then I have to get up constantly and stand for about fifteen minutes before sitting down again.
After sitting for about half an hour studying, I feel tremendous pressure in my lower back and an uncontrollable urge to go to the bathroom. I've always had back problems, with chronic pain, scoliosis (a curved spine), and a very pronounced lordosis (arched back). I'm going to physical therapy, and it's helping with the pain and other issues, but I still feel the pressure that triggers an IBS attack every time I study.
I've tried different positions, I even sit on the floor in a Japanese-style pose, I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone else experience this?
