Are the wolves only targeting the church?
Okay this is most likely a stupid question that other will say is wrong or have answers for this, but after the release of chapter 6 and then was chatting with peeps over it the next day, a thought occurred to me. The only ones who have been killed by the wolves are the enemies of them.
Okay I'm going to explain how I reached this point. While I was rewatching the episode like the 4 time, trying to see if I can spot something I missed or noticed a hidden fact that someone might have missed, I realised something. Only the Saint Leopold people were really being killed. Even when Remold and Kitten were in point blank range, they were only maimed, beaten or slammed into a tree. Even when in axe, claw, jaw or even war form. They weren't killed. Meanwhile the Saint Leopold people were killed without mercy, hesitation or remorse. He even seemed to enjoy it.
Now, could this just be a way to show off how deadly werewolves are and not have any cast members be killed? Yes obviously but I did think it was weird. Now you might also say "But what about Grimal and Fatigue?" Well I thought of that as well and had answers for them as well. For Grimal that one is easier. Stig even says his answer, the rage took him over. He was angry he ruined their warrior bout, has remorse and sadness for what he did. For Fatigue, he was Killed by Hun (Matilda), maybe due to being caught when coming out of the closet or she couldn't hold back the rage she was feeling and needed to release some bloodlust. But I think it was more of a focused rage. Fatigue was studying werewolves, his family lineage being soaked in wolf blood (even if he disagreed and didn't accept the fate his family was pushing on him) that had Hun find out that he was studying the wolves and his family hunted them. Killing him as a sort of revenge for the lost warriors. It's a stretch but, could explain why she only killed him and not Spit as well.
There's also one other fact I realised as to why he might have only attacked the Saint Leopold people. In Chapter 1.1, when Kitten was explaining Black Shook. He told stories of the black dog storming in churches, causing mayhem and killing people. Then, most of the stories became uneventful when the dog was spotted. Most likely due to the delirium and possibly hunters or pentex hiding the fact the wolves exist but it's strange how again, only the church people were attacked again. I even looked into the Silent Striders and Black Shook in official lore and found out that, Jesus Christ actually existed in WOD but had powers and that the Wyrm hated him. Even tried to kill him, but he apparently has an aura that makes any wyrm freak not like it and then the silent Striders kill them. Almost acting like guardians for him in secret.
So looping back to my main question. Why only these people? I'm not sure. It could be like I said at the beginning as it only them not wanting to kill cast members and have thrown away characters killed. But what if, the kin of Shook are actually targeting these church people as retaliation of what they did to Jesus? We all saw what had become of that spirit. It was corrupted by the Wyrm and was horrible. Yes jesus was a person, but in the book, it said Jesus might have been the physical manifestation of a powerful spirit. But now fully corrupted. Maybe as revenge or just for what these people had done to the spirit, being tricked by the Wyrm and more, are targeting them to maybe free the spirit or weaken the Wyrm.
I'd like to hear what people think. I've been thinking about this for a while and it's one of my many stupid crack pot nonsense theories. But still like to hear what people think and who are way smarter than my baby WoD mind.
