[HAUL] 6 versatile layering fits for autumn/winter. Clean, textured, and non-loud.

Just got in a batch of pieces for the colder months. I’m all about that layered, relaxed clean fit—nothing flashy, just good textures and neutral palettes.

Put together 6 outfits from the haul (tried to keep the brand logos out of sight):

Fit 1: Grey textured polo knit + black wide trousers + dark brown suede lace-ups.
Fit 2: Navy overshirt/knit with striped collar layer + cream straight denim + glossy black monk-strap shoes.
Fit 3: Beige fair-isle/woven pattern cardigan + off-white relaxed jeans + brown leather derbies. (Very cozy vibes).
Fit 4: Off-white cropped zip jacket + dark textured wide slacks + dark brown leather chelsea boots.
Fit 5: Off-white crewneck with shirt collar layer + faded light-blue wash denim + black canvas star sneakers.
Fit 6: Grey brushed knit cardigan with drawstrings + blue checkered button-down + dark raw denim + dark combat boots.

Really happy with how the layering works here, especially the shirt-collar-under-sweater trick. Thoughts on the silhouette? Which look hits for you?

Anyone done plug-in solar instead of a full roof job?

Getting quotes for roof solar, all coming in at £6-8k with scaffolding and brackets. Then someone mentioned plug-in solar. Panels on a balcony or garden frame, battery on the ground, no roof work.

Built a shed last summer so the physical mounting is fine. The electrician part is just the consumer unit connection under Part P. Hardware itself is apparently plug and play but the regs haven't caught up yet.

800W vs 4kW is obviously less but the cost difference is massive.

Upgrade your daily outfit rotation with these 5 easy formulas

Trying to branch out from just wearing plain black hoodies, so I grabbed a few different textures and cuts this time. Here’s a quick breakdown of how I’m styling these pieces:

  1. Sporty Chic: Long sleeve jersey + Baggy grey fleece pants + Classic Canvas Lows
  2. Graphic Streetwear: Vintage collage tee + Crisp black denim + Slim suede trainers
  3. 90s Dad Core / Textured: Charcoal striped polo + Dark navy cargo pants + Slim suede trainers
  4. Clean Smart-Casual: Black layered-collar polo + Light grey dress trousers + Black leather oxfords
  5. Washed Aesthetic: Graphic statement tee + Charcoal washed wide-leg pants + Suede trainers

Highlight: The black-and-cream layered polo paired with the light grey trousers feels ridiculously sleek. Definitely wearing that on my next date night.

[QC/Haul] Autumn Long-Sleeve & Jersey Rotation 🍂

Just got this batch of long-sleeves and jersey-style tops ready for the cooler months. Here's a quick look:

  • Vintage Washed Long-Sleeve (Dark Grey): Really like the faded wash and clean front graphic. Relaxed fit looks on point.
  • Retro Polo & V-Neck Pullover (Navy/Cream): Classic sportswear vibe with striped details and a nice overall shape. Looks clean.
  • Black "08" Jersey: Probably my favorite from this haul. The oversized fit, patches, and vintage football-inspired look came out really well.
  • Purple Striped Long-Sleeve: Boxy fit with a subtle chest detail. Simple but easy to throw into everyday outfits.

Overall, everything looks pretty solid to me, but I'd like a second opinion.

How are these looking? GL or RL? Any details that stand out?
Let me know what you think. 🙂

Recent Pants Haul | Some Vintage & Relaxed Fit Pickups

Finally got around to sharing some pants I picked up recently.

Lately I’ve been looking for pieces with better silhouettes and more interesting details, so this haul is mostly focused on wide-leg fits, vintage washes, and everyday styles.

1. Light Blue Washed Wide-Leg Jeans

The wash has a strong vintage feel with natural fading and whisker details. The fit is loose and relaxed, and the small waist accessory adds some extra character.

2. Dark Grey Straight-Leg Denim

The color is easy to match, and the structured shape gives it a cleaner look. The button-front detail is a nice touch and makes it feel a bit more vintage.

3. Deep Blue Straight-Leg Jeans

The dark blue tone and clean silhouette make them a solid everyday pair. Nothing too flashy, just a good basic denim with a nice fit.

4. Grey Embroidered Wide Trousers.

The grey fabric and subtle embroidery details give them a more refined feel while keeping the relaxed shape.

5. Washed Charcoal Wide-Leg Pants

The washed finish, panel details, and small hardware elements make them stand out more compared to regular black pants.

6. Medium Blue Washed Jeans

The fading looks natural, and the overall shape is very easy to wear. Definitely one of those pairs that gets better with time.

My husband just exposed my biggest shopping habit 😂🤍

Was organizing my closet today and my husband walked by, looked at everything, and said:

“Have you noticed you keep buying the same thing over and over?”

I was like… excuse me? 😂

I thought I had a pretty good variety, vest, linen shirt, knit sweater, T-shirt, cardigan… different styles, different seasons.

Then I put everything together and realized…

They were basically all white.

Not exactly the same though, some are cream, some are pure white, some are cooler tones. Different fabrics and fits, but somehow they all give the same vibe.

A lightweight vest, a chunky knit, a relaxed linen shirt… turns out my brain just keeps choosing the same color without me noticing.

Guess everyone has that one color they always come back to 😂

What color takes over your closet?

[HAUL] I think I might've accidentally turned my living room into a clothing store...

This wasn't supposed to happen.

Every package felt completely reasonable on its own. Then they all showed up within a few days of each other, and I finally opened everything today.

Now my floor looks like this.

Half of the clothes still have the tags on because I haven't even had time to try everything on yet.

Looking at the pile, I started noticing a pattern too. Apparently I only buy three kinds of colors now: black, brown, grey... with the occasional cream thrown in to convince myself I'm branching out.

There are way more knits than I remember ordering, more denim than one person probably needs, and somehow I also ended up with enough hats for every mood.

The worst part? While laying everything out, I still caught myself thinking, "I could probably use one more jacket."

Shopping brain really is something else.

Anyway... now comes the hard part—figuring out what actually deserves closet space and what I should probably return.

Anyone else have packages arrive separately, only to realize later you've accidentally built an entire new wardrobe?

Found some really clean embroidered button-down shirts for summer

Was looking for some lightweight shirts for summer and ended up finding these button-downs. Thought I’d share because the style is pretty easy to wear.

They come in a few different colors (black, olive, white, and khaki). The small chest embroidery gives them a classic look without being too flashy. I’ve always liked this kind of simple design because it works with almost anything — jeans, shorts, chinos, or cargos.

The fabric has a nice textured feel with a slightly natural look. It’s lightweight, breathable, and doesn’t have that stiff “office shirt” feeling. The button-down collar is a nice touch too, keeps the shape looking clean even when worn casually.

Fit is more on the slim side, so it gives a more polished silhouette instead of a boxy oversized look. I’d stick with your normal size if you like a fitted style, or go one size up for a more relaxed fit.

Out of the colors, I think the white and khaki ones are probably the easiest to style, but the olive one might be my favorite for a more casual outfit.

What do you guys think? Which color would you pick?

[Recent Pickups] A Few Earth-Tone Pieces I Added to My Wardrobe

A few recent purchases that have been sitting in my closet rotation lately. I wasn’t looking for anything specific—just ended up choosing a lot of neutral colors and textured fabrics.

First is a large dark brown suede tote. I mainly got it because I wanted something that could fit more than the usual daily essentials. It has a soft shape, a simple design, and the brown suede goes with most of what I wear.

I also picked up two lightweight shirts: one sand-colored band-collar shirt and one black textured shirt. The sand one feels more casual, while the black one is a little easier to wear for dinner or evenings.

The last piece is a pair of dark brown pleated trousers. I liked the color because it feels softer than black but still works with almost everything.

Nothing groundbreaking, just a few pieces I’ve been happy to add to my wardrobe recently.

What have you picked up lately that you didn’t expect to wear as much as you do?

what charger do you use for your switch on the go

I've been bringing the dock charger with me every time I travel and it takes up so much space. I only play in handheld mode when I'm out anyway so I don't really need the dock part. Would love to just bring a small usb-c charger instead but the old bricking stories still worry me a little. What do you guys use?
