Here me out, what if neither imu nor blackbeard were the final bosses of One Piece, but the one piece itself.

What if Imu was just manipulated by the certain evil essence inhabiting the One Piece, thus got the Devil’s fruit to beat Joy Boy and the One Piece is similiar to the Dragon Ball, granting it’s finder the wish he wants in which in Imu’s case was revenge.

What if the One Piece turns out to be a corrupt artifact that might bring an end to the world ?

We’ve been getting one piece for over 20 years now and perhaps the two most hyped factions of all time are the Holy Knights and Imu.

As far as we’ve seen the holy knights have been nothing but goofy weak idiots, who couldnt hold a candle to previous villains like Kaido or The admirals. Imu right now is also not giving any final villain vibes, he’s just a guy caught up in his past.

The biggest plot mystery for me about Imu is why he still keeps the celestial dragons on a high pedestal, even-though they are the biggest nuisance to his reign even more so than the pirates.

They are useless, annoying, giving the world government a bad tyrannical reputation. In addition they are neither fighters nor do anything usefull for the government other than bark orders and making the admirals go beserk. Shouldn’t Imu be more concerned about strengthening his rankings, bringing up more admirals and actually give the government a bad reputation which causes massive uproar.

Even though the Marineford stakes were higher Imu chose to interfere in God Valley through Saturn, but not in Marineford, even though over 43 Pirate alliances came together to save probably the heir for the joyboy mantle.

While in God Valley it was only a few useless celestial dragons going on a huntinf field trip with mainly pirates fighting each other over Shakky v

Shanks was able to beat Kizaru and put a sword in his neck in about 5 seconds flat and if Kizaru didnt surrender shanks would have cut his head off.

That puts shanks in a level we’ve never seen before as even G5 Luffy was equal to Kizaru and sometimes he looked like he would lose.
