Calling appetizers ‘appys’

Don’t ask me why it annoys me because I don’t have any idea, but my mom almost EXCLUSIVELY calls appetizers ‘appys’ and it makes me want to drive my head into a wall sometimes. I keep my mouth shut about it because I don’t want to be a killjoy, but I needed to express this annoyance somewhere.

When a comment section is only talking about the op’s appearance (when the post was unrelated)

Whether it be in a good way or a bad way, it irks me when I want to see discussion on an interesting video or add-ons to a good joke and am met with walls of only appearance-based replies.

Related peeve is when every comment is asking the same question that was already answered in several of the top comments. I don’t expect people to scroll through the entire comment section to see if someone asked already, I’m talking about when it’s the first thing you see when you open the comment section, how did you miss it?

Jewelry that is borderline impossible to put on

Just struggled for 5 minutes straight helping a friend with a necklace clip that was simultaneously too small for any human finger to open and stiffer than a rock. I’ve also been gifted some bracelets over the years that just cannot be put on with one hand and that’s a lil annoying too.

I swear every conversation with my dad goes like:

“Why are you ignoring me?”

“Sorry I had headphones on, I didn’t hear you.”

“You saw me talking to you from across the room, why are you ignoring me?”

“I didn’t see you talking to me, I was focused on something and didn’t notice you until you came closer.”

“Is what you were doing so important it gives you the right to ignore me?”

“I didn’t hear you.”

“You’re always ignoring me.”

Like ???? I didn’t hear you, do you want me to be on high alert all the time in case you MIGHT talk to me?? And instead of just saying what he needed me so bad for it always turns into an argument about whether or not I was ignoring him. It’s happened a few times with other people in the past but he’s the main culprit.

This is basically a ‘you like waffles so you hate pancakes’ post repackaged but it happened to me again recently and it irritated me.

I said I love seeing 2d animation and someone started listing off well-done 3d animated movies asking me if I really hated all of them. I asked them where the hell I said I hated 3d animation because I certainly do not. It’s also happened to me with music, game, and other preferences in the past.

I don’t think it’s cool to make fun of someone for not knowing any type of information, but I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of times I’ve been heckled for not knowing the most optional of things.

For example, back in middle school a friend gave me a whole long lecture about how I lived under a rock and needed to be more aware of things because I didn’t know about some celebrity’s new makeup palette. I didn’t even wear makeup, never expressed any interest in the topic of fashion, and wasn’t a fan of that celebrity at all, because that just wasn’t my jam. To this day I’m very confused as to why she thought I of all people would know about it and why she thought it was so serious.

It’s basically just replaced ‘cringe’ in the online lexicon now but for some reason ‘cringe’ never bothered me as much as ‘corny’ does (Though both definitely do irritate me on a minor scale).

Ironically, the word ‘corny’ being constantly used just feels corny to me.

Just saw someone calling a show a Harry Potter ripoff because it had a young protagonist learning magic in it. Everything else all the way down to the magic system, plot, and setting was entirely different but I guess anything that has witches and a young protagonist in it is automatically a Harry Potter ripoff.

Sometimes I see cases where something gets so popular that things made BEFORE it even came out are accused of being ripoffs.

Like, it’s impossible to make completely original media. Things are going to be like other things, that doesn’t inherently make them ripoffs. (And even if they are inspired by that original, that doesn’t inherently make them worthless if they make their own thing out of it)

All of these are from the same channel I’m sorry but it’s all I can find right now. Like damn thanks for the warning but I wasn’t planning to

I don’t exactly remember when I got this, but it’s been quite a few years at the least. It hasn’t grown or anything, but I am wondering if it is cancerous or just a weird mole (I have plenty of moles, but this is the only one this large or shaped this way).

I have had prolonged exposure to the sun due to working a lot of landscaping jobs, though I don’t burn easily and have only gotten a handful of sunburns throughout my life.

A basketball hit my left hand weird yesterday and jammed my left ring finger pretty good. It hurt of course but I could still move it fine so I didn’t think much of it.

I woke up this morning and it hurts about the same if not a little more, and it looks a little swollen to me? I can still move it fine (just a bit painfully) but I’m wondering if I’ve gotten a minor sprain of some sort. I don’t think it’s hospital worthy either way but I thought I’d ask because I’m worried it’s going to get worse if It is a sprain and I don’t do something about it.

I absolutely cheer when there’s just a random 3d guy in an otherwise 2d world and vice versa. It adds so much charm.
