partner is sick, how screwed am i?

we dont live in the same house. i havent seen him since sunday. 24 hours after i last saw him, he came down with a sore throat. today he described it as being hit by a bus and generally feeling unwell with coughing, vomiting, etc. he hasnt tested for covid but im acting like it is just in case. how concerned should i be? i mask almost everywhere, he masks when sick and in crowded spaces (esp indoors) but is more lax than i am. we were unmasked and had sex. im a real bad hypochondriac already :(

sore throat after exercising?

im relatively new to the gym. this doesnt happen all the time, but has the last two or three times consistently. i can walk up/down hills (and over 10-15k steps) and have no issue, but the day after the gym i sometimes wake up with soreness in my nasopharnyx area. generally i dont have any other symptoms and it goes away in a few hours (if not a whole day), and i dont feel worn out or anything. is this normal? the hypochondriac in me is trying to be mindful.

et tu, udder bar?

came to visit the valley after moving earlier this year. its so disappointing to see a clearly AI generated poster being used to celebrate “community”. :(

is my sebderm spreading?

have had sebderm diagnosed for three years, likely have had it for much longer. this popped up near my eye around a week or so ago. i’m not sure if this is sebderm or something else. it comes off with some rubbing, usually takes a few days to come back. white in color. sebderm on my scalp is red, inflamed, and constantly itchy. any ideas? no derm appts available until october :(

writing someone with me/cfs?

mods, if this isn't appropriate, you are free to delete this

to give context: i'm physically ablebodied, have read about me/cfs and know the basics of this horrible disease. i have a character whose mother develops severe me/cfs after his birth. how can i best describe that? would anyone, especially parents, be able to give me their perspective? thank you all <3

my partner may, or may not, be sick. how does one proceed?

i have severe health anxiety regarding long covid and me/cfs. my partner may or may not be sick - he has chronic sinus issues, so that doesnt help. we are also in the awful aqi area of the us. we are supposed to go out tonight with his family, but i'm nervous to go out. i spent the night at his place yesterday and we had a great time. it's exhausting and frustrating having to navigate literally just being happy and connected with health anxiety. do you guys have any recommendations? how do you stay connected if someone may or may not be sick?
