I'm using a telephoto lens for a phone camera, focusing the image onto a piece of white paper. Working very well - nice crescent slowly getting narrower.

Just spent ten minutes out in the garden (it's now 02:30) and saw four meteors. Nature at its best.
My laptop has had some sort of breakdown so I have very limited access to Reddit right now. Apologies to all who I would have commented to, and particularly to the rest of the mod team. It's unclear to me when/if things will get back to normal.

In order to facilitate opportunities to learn and share between the online community of r/Witchcraft and the real world attendees of Temples of PanSophia, we've set up a temporary discord where r/Witchcraft users from around the world can virtually attend the two one-hour class discussions of witchcraft as well as attend and submit virtual offerings to the Group Ritual: A spell to facilitate, create, foster, and protect community spaces and sharing. Times for these classes will be announced on the discord when the Temples of PanSophia organizers finalize the schedule.
The Discord will be open from now until Tuesday and will then be deleted.
The rules of r/Witchcraft, Temples of PanSophia, and Gaea Retreat Center will be expected to be observed by virtual attendees: no sales, personal promotions, doxxing, sharing of private information, hate speech, or disrespect. Mine does. There's music I really like which is clearly Christian or Buddhist or similar, and I don't have a problem with that. This thought was brought to mind last night when I listened to Current 93's "The Seahorse Rears to Oblivion". Below the first stanza:
