Put your finger in me, and I'll politely say, "Thank you." Don't be jealous when I say the same thing to everyone who does Sometimes, you just have to try again.

I don't know anything about this but got recommended. Ask me and I shall answer.

Exactly. Reddit decided to recommend for no reason. So why not.

MINMAXING EEE (can be used by other branch idk) (chennai user) [6 sem completion]

This is the guide for what you need to choose at which sem and how you complete everything by 6th sem.

Rest year you can enjoy or smth your wish.

THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT TO GET A CRAZY GOOD CGPA.

Details : you need to complete a total of 164 credits . Each division having their respective "required credits".

  1. Foundation core- Basic Sciences and Mathematics :  24

  2. Foundation Core - Basic Engineering Sciences : 10

  3. Foundation Core - Humanities, Social Sciences and Management :1 5

  4. Discipline-linked Engineering Sciences : 10

  5. Discipline Core : 53

  6. Discipline Elective : 15

  7. Projects and Internship : 9

  8. Open Elective : 15

  9. Non-graded Core Requirement : 11

  10. Bridge Course (based on English profeciency test) : 2/0

  11. Multidisciplinary Elective : null

Summary: Mostly after finishing everything recommended by HOD and all the NPTEL in all the sems you will be Left with 2 DE by the end of 3rd year. So, Just do them in 2nd or 3rd by choosing them in the opposite slot. ie, if you choose all as evening slot, just put 1 subject of DE in morning for 2 sems. You will finish all the courses (except project ofc) by 3rd year.

Calculation.

Now, assuming that you passed EPT(10. number), we will move on to what you need to actually worry.

SEM 1: you cannot choose anything. I think you will be automatically assigned. you will earn around 20 credits this sem.

(NGCR - 1, intoduction to engineering- here i will mention what credits are left except foundation core)

SEM 2: register whatever the HOD recommends (foundation core courses). Added to that try to take a Discipline elective. STS will be easier (imo) so you can have sts 1 class in morning rest evening or vice versa. complete one VITOL course.

(NGCR  - 3, DE - 3, OE - 3)

SEM 3: again register whatever foundation courses are recommended. Add one VITOL course. JOIN A FFCS CLUB. <- this is important. club joining for FFCS and normal "being a member" is different. Do a NPTEL course. NPTEL comes under OE and easily you can get S grade. Extra take a Disclipline elective.

(NGCR - 5 (not counting club as its for a year), DE - 6 ,  OE - 6)

Summer: Try to complete your internship after 2nd year or 3rd. Dont postpone.

SEM 4: same as SEM 3 without club reg and with a extra slot for a DE. choose a Foreign language or HSM elective now.

(NGCR - 9, DE - 12 , OE - 9)

SEM 5:  they will ask you to register "Advanced cloud computing" which will give you  3 OE credits.
choose a foreign language or hsm elective . now both your HSM and foreign language is done. complete the final VTOL course. NPTEL also. no DE now.
IMPORTANT: Some might want to sit for placements. Then you have to take "Advanced competitive coding -1." gives 1.5 credits in OE. for who dont want to they can simply take a OE course other than NPTEL for 3 credits.
DO NOT TAKE EXTRA HERE (ie. one extra in other slot) . STS is pretty tough now.

(NGCR - 11(completed), DE - 12 , OE - 13.5(for placement people)/15 (for non placement people ).

SEM 6: "Advanced competitive coding -2." and Embedded c programming will be must for you.
gives 1.5 to OE and 3 to DE.

(NGCR - done, DE -done , and OE is also done. Foundation courses are managed in such a way it will be over by 3rd year. so dont worry much on those.)

So , i received this random message of invoice which i havent even did anything for. (i havent bought anything there). The suspicious thing is the invoice is for tomorrow(14/05/26) somehow (see attached). also they mentioned my number both in "customer" as well as contact support number.
nothing bad happened. just curious as to how and why this happened.
