What's going on with the US cybersecurity job market?

I am a mid level cybersecurity professional with tonnes of managerial experience, CISSP, M.S and so on. Applied for close to 1000 jobs. Faced at least 20 interviews. No job offers. Always getting turned down after the hiring manager interview. It's always some reason like oh you don't have enough experience with AWS or you have consulting experience even if I nail every question right. I am exhausted. It's never been like this. Is it just me or are others facing the same dilemma?

Bye bye Minnesota

We moved to MN with a baby and things didn't work out. It's beautiful, calm and peaceful but it was extremely isolating. I couldn't make real deep genuine friendships because people stick to their childhood friends and family. Everyone wants to look good, sound non offensive and hardly anyone talks about deep topics.

Worst few months of my life unfortunately. We are going to try MI or Iowa next and hope it's different

Major sibling differences

Hi I don't know if any other siblings feel this way. I grew up in Sri Lanka for the most part but studied extremely hard and moved abroad. My parents spent a lot on my sibling but he never completed any degree. My parents passed away very young. He fell into drugs and bad company. He studied at many different schools due to the professions of parents but socially we are upper middle class. When I recently visited Sri Lanka my sibling was unrecognizable. His friends are all three wheeler drivers etc. not to look down on them but it's more like he looks like one of them, loitering around, doing prostitution and drugs. He never succeeded in his job and he has no savings. I realized I can't even relate to him anymore. He has so many mental and physical issues plus unable to give him any money since everything goes into feeding his addictions. He can't even find a job due to his current physical appearance. I am both in shock and in sadness. He never did anything useful with his life. Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Thanks

Any mamas who had to leave NYC temporarily, looking for advice

Hi mamas, I am in a bit of a dark place in life and I don't see hope unfortunately. My husband insisted we move to his childhood home to build up financial security. I also had a struggle finding a job in the city and agreed to move even though I had enough savings to continue living in the city. It's been a nightmare. I have to live with my brother in law who isn't so nice to the baby. I have told my husband about his brother's physical aggression and the anger towards the baby but he doesn't believe me. I just don't know what to do. A bit of context about his brother is that he is about 40 years old. Never married . No kids. Never has had a partner/girlfriend/boyfriend as the family knows. He has been living alone in the childhood home for decades. He is dirty and doesn't keep the space clean. I have to clean up after him most of the time. He isn't successful in life either. I am ok with these even though these indicate lack of mental hygiene. What I am trying to do is to get out of the situation. My husband is reluctant to move again due to financial and convenience reasons. We also don't have help with childcare where we live since it's an isolated suburb and his family isn't very helpful. His family has been toxic growing up too. I just don't know if any mamas have been in a similar situation. I hardly have time to prep for interviews and to find a job. We are in a different state and I don't know anyone either. I don't know how to find a job and move out. I am very educated too but I am with no income and feel like my wings are clipped in every possible way.
