24M just started my TFSA

Just opened my TFSA, realized I need to start taking finances seriously. Aiming to put 50ish dollars every paycheck, and hopefully increase that later. Gonna aim to have it 70% XEQT 20% Microsoft ( TSX hedged version) and 10% penny stocks i hope do well. Have a non registered account with only money im ok with losing ( 50 in it right now, maybe 5-10 bucks a paycheck added), to take advantage of free commisions and get practice trading.

24 M looking to open a TFSA

I have around $300 bucks I want to put in a TFSA and I have around $100 in eligible CIBC points i can contribute. Meeting with a financial advisor on Monday. Thing is, CIBC seems to have pretty high fees for accounts with little money (like mine).

Im thinking about setting up a first time home buyers account at CIBC with my points and use Wealth simple for my TFSA, mainly for fees reason. Does anyone have experience with setting up an account with little funds, and what bank worked best for you?

My goal is 1000 in my TFSA a year from now, still a full time student just working over the summer and have want to start putting money away. Dont need ro be a millionaire overnight, but would like to own a home one day.
