Made by me with cardboard, hotglue and some gold paint lol. Can I not be considered a larper anymore?

If i only use the motherboard from the 3dsxl I want to fix, could I get another 3dsxl and swap motherboards and have everything I have on there intact with no transfer needed?

I only relied on speculation and Gemini but I want to ask someone online if this could work.
