Spectrum 2.4!

This is probably the first time I didn’t have ALL the details. Sorry! Currently, my store Spectrum printer is out of service, and it’s a struggle lol.

My favorite update is re-staging options.

Least favorite is adding a new metric to chart “invoiced on time”. Aka 30 minutes before due time. Literally anyone that works at a busy(ish) store will immediately recognize the conflict. Because we did not receive extra labor or anything. Still have 5 to shop within 30 minutes lol.

I cannot change my birth certificate.

My parents are deceased. 40+ years ago, when they divorced, my mother decided I will use her last name. No court order etc. At that time she filed for my SSN with her last name. I was 6 years old.

I have had a US passport and a US military dependent passport in my adult lifetime. No issues. But now, my birth certificate doesn’t work because it’s my father’s name (and my mother’s married and maiden). When I got married over 20 years ago, I hyphenated my name for my husband and my faux last name (not knowing it was faux). Changed my ssn, license etc. Been existing all this time. We’re divorced. I kept my hyphenated last name (we have a kid).

I was denied a Real ID because of my last name and birth certificate. I don’t have a court order for what my mother did. I hoped my legal name change when I married was sufficient. It’s not.

So. Whatever. I’m not changing my damn name lol. I will be flying in 2 months. I have a state drivers license, birth certificates (and death certificates of my parents if they’re wanting), ssn card, title to my house, utilities a long time job. Dude, I even have my WHO original vaccination booklet (military dependent) lol. What do I need to fly? Obviously I will pay the fine. I hate to have to fly but it’s for a wedding. I’m actually driving back due to acquiring a vehicle there.

Who has the final say about a cross trained associate?

Market has requested associate to cover the leave of a frozen associate.

The associate in question is a customer service lead, who can do office (including Sundays), however, is only scheduled as a cashier.

Market is begging. And that will be a need that will hurt them if not fulfilled. But also, associate can do absolutely everything front end (except FLTG because of a weird rule).

Any bets who is gonna snag associate for the upcoming week? (Despite a schedule being made).

I’m generally curious to see how this plays out.

Delivery-only heavy pay?

I’m a store employee. Our e-commerce department shops orders, and then gig drivers pick them up. We use Instacart, UberEats and DoorDash. They’re sent randomly by a (3rd party) dispatch department. I can and often will call when I see we have a delivery order and request Instacart to be dispatched.

Today, a very nice driver arrived for a pickup and I did my usual “are you aware of the volume of this order?” (I ask because we have many retired persons that deliver and cannot lift such heavy items). As it had over 100 lbs of dog/cat food, water cases etc. She was not aware. It was such a large order that my store manager and I both took it out. I asked her if she got heavy pay for it. Nope. I honestly thought she should have gotten heavy pay for this. She left to deliver. She returned later to tell me she’d looked on the app, and the order definitely qualified for heavy pay, but support sent her multiple emails saying no.

Is heavy pay not offered on delivery-only? Because that’s fucking wild! She was tipped well, thankfully, but still WTF?

Has anyone received heavy pay for delivery only?

FLTG delivery stores. Drivers multi-apping?

For those of you with delivery, have you noticed an uptick in pickup drivers who are multi-apping, like doing DoorDash and Instacart or UberEats at the same time? Or just being assigned two batches with one being a pickup and the other being a shop/deliver and they’re all doing the pickup first? Is it just my store? I keep taking out orders only to have the driver move to a different spot (sometimes), come inside, and start shopping.

From what I’ve observed it’s both DoorDash and Instacart doing this. While UberEats has so far not directed them to pickup first.

I know the ones running two platforms are doing wrong and I could report them if my life were incredibly dull. I’m more annoyed by the ones being directed to pickup and then shop! There is now temp control food in their trunk just roasting!

Was thinking of bringing this up to my corporate guy, but wondering if it’s just my store.

EPPT DELI + FLTG (Spectrum).

Love it? Hate it?

I’m not a fan, yet. It’s only been a week (6/23) The potential is there. But for now, I strongly dislike it.

How hot was your store today?

It’s getting a bit cozy outside. It’s getting a lot bit uncomfortable inside. 🔥

FLTG Spectrum bulk meat question.

Curious if you have a batch with a larger weight of ONE type of meat (same upc) that will not fit in one bag, but is also your only raw meat of that type, for example 25 lbs of family pack ground beef, how are you bagging and labeling to make sure each bag gets a functional label?

Unlike non weighted items, you will have to hit YES when prompted about adding more weight after the first scan to continue scanning the price barcodes until you’ve reached the desired weight, and then are able to scan a CHL label. But, you need more than one CHL label to bag it all.

What are y’all doing?

Driver side brake pads!

Read: I replaced them. I’m safe! I know! No need to lecture. But also thank you for the concern.

About a week ago, I heard a noise. Yup, only a week ago! The passenger side did not look this bad, although they clearly needed replacement. What causes the drivers side to go to… this?

I bought my 2016 Patriot Sport 2.4 in 2019. Knowing nothing about vehicle maintenance. My son and I committed to getting shit done as soon as we became financially able (within reason, still poor). My last post was the crank shift sensor. So we’re getting there. I’m just curious about why the driver side was so fucked up.

I don’t tailgate, brake slam or do anything weird. I’m a size small human. But the way these look, I may as well have chewed them up lol. Just looking for insight. Maybe I missed a habit I can correct.

How did you reach the crankshaft position sensor?

As the title ask… how did YOU reach it? If you did a DIY. We are struggling to replace this sensor.

2016 Patriot Sport 2.4 L

Skid plate under, but tried to access from “under” at the back portion of the engine, with Jeep on lifts. Nope.

It doesn’t really seem accessible to the average person. Getting the heat shield bolts off was maddening as well. We’re determined, but just wondering if we’re missing something.

ETA: in the process, we lost a socket to the engine. For awhile we could see it. Then we couldn’t lol. Rip. Had to buy a whole new set. It’s now down their rolling around living it’s best life…
